I came across this new shop on Bayview when picking up dinner at Cumbraeâs. I had never heard of this place so I went in and had a browse. I didnât really see much selection other than the same chocolate chip cookie but with different flavorings, mainly junk food. Since they looked decent I got an assortment to take to my husband and two teenage boys. My husband is a cookie connoisseur and has tried every cookie in the city of Toronto. Our latest favorites are the chocolate chip cookie at Bomou which is a lovely new patisserie opened by a lovely French trained Pastry Chef and her sister up the road. Weâve never had such melt-in-your-mouth cookies and pastries. (Get the double chocolate chip). After paying for the cookies (you need to take out a mortgage to pay for these they were so expensive), And ASKING FOR A TIP? I brought them home for the family. Where to start. Never have I tasted a cookie so sweet and so SALTY at the same time. There was no flavor profile other than the chocolate chip base and each one we sampled just had more mouthfuls of sugar in each bite with the added junk food. We actually THREW THEM OUT! Iâm not sure this store will make it in the neighborhood as there are do many other beautiful and delicious offerings that constitute proper baking. I would hope to see it offer more than just the one chocolate chip cookie because there was nothing original about this cookie as it even just tasted like your standard chocolate chip cookie from the back of a bag of chocolate chips. The service wasnât outstanding either. Maybe the staff need to be paid more instead...
Read moreLol what is wrong with some of the reviewers in here? âTheir cookies are too sweetâ??? âThey didnât have the flavour I wantedâ??? âThe cookies are too expensive.â??? âThey asked me if I would like to tip!â???
Cookies are meant to be sweet, and when you get one with salty ingredients in it THEYâRE GOING TO BE SALTY. Craig and co. cycle in and out flavours throughout the day because baking 60 different flavours simultaneously is a bit of an operational impossibility. My wife loves the Toffee ones and I have a 50% success rate with them being available when I visit, but you donât find me trying to destroy their business on here with petty reviews. Itâs the luck of the draw, you win some and lose some. As for price, there is nothing stopping you from turning around and leaving the store if you deem them too pricey. No oneâs holding a gun to your head. Donât pay for them and then complain about how much you paid for them. And finally, the gratuity thing: by providing contactless payment for COVID reasons, you donât have the opportunity to choose on the machine if youâd like to leave a tip. What are they supposed to do, just forego tips during the pandemic? While it may be new to you, itâs done in a non-hostile, friendly way and thereâs no harm no foul if you decline. They thank you anyways.
Going to Craigâs has always been a pleasant experience and these are the best cookies in the city. 5 stars today and always, and get over your...
Read moreJust experience Terrible customer service at the Bayview location I was on my way to the store and simply called the store to inquire about a specific cookie I was interested in buying.
The person on the phone said his name was âTiwainâ and said he was in the store âofficeâ and therefore would NOT go and check to see if the cookies I wanted was on display. He told me once I get to the store I could then check the selection for myself.
Why have a phone in the shop if you are not willing to speak/help customers calling the store?
All I needed was a YES or NO response as to whether the cookie I was looking for was on display and how many of them they had at the moment.
I told him I was only 5 Minutes away, so I was not worried about them selling out. The person I spoke to was very unwelcoming, dismissive and did not want to be bothered doing a simply check for a customer on the phone.
This was the Bayview location time of my call to the store was 8:37pm Saturday.
Management * I am giving you the time of my call because I am doubtful he gave me...
