We had been really looking forward to coming here every time we are visiting family in the area as we have tried a variety of middle eastern/ Mediterranean type food and the food looked so good.So why am I giving it a 2 star?? Well for starters it was really uncomfortably cold inside but kept the jackets on and we were willing to make a night of it hoping the place or us would warm up.The service or disconnect with the kitchen or whatever caused a ridiculous delay of over 1 hour and 10 minute to even get a cold humus appetizer was unreal. We hate to complain so just kept waiting hoping for the best drinking our wine and ordered more drinks. I was ready to just pay for our drinks and leave at this point but decided to ask the waitress again and point out that the table beside us who got there well after us had their appetizers and food already?!!
No explanation, really, let me check wire your order is on the list with kitchen?? 10 min later finally had humus and waited another 10 to get the cheese appetizer. This was 1 hour and half after being seated for cold prepared humus?!!!
Humus was really fresh and good could have used a bit of olive oil drizzle or fresh nuts or garnish but was really good.
The cheese akawi appetizer could have been a bit more crusty but was good too. So I was at least a bit happy that the wait and the freezing temperature inside wasn't for nothing and was hopeful for a promising main dishes and sides.
Here's where things went sideways again. Another long wait to get our mains only to find the food cold. And I mean cold not just room temperature, cold fish and cold ground beef skewer and sides, wth come on the kitchen is within reach and how do you serve hot food cold AF and think it's acceptable??!!
Beyond dissatisfied and by this point we really should have sent it back or complained but like I said we dine out a lot and and come from family of restauranteurs and by nature try to do our best to enjoy the experience the best and not complain but this is the closest I've come to doing so and was going to pay for drinks and walk out and down or up the street to many of the other available restaurants.
Now as for the quality of the fish it was a good grilled or broiled fish however sadly beyond cold and not seasoned with any bit of salt, herbs, butter or any flavor at all.
The ground beef skewer was good quality ground beef but again lacked moistness or flavor. Most of these Mediterranean kabobs have onions, parsley, salt, their own unique seasoning and are very moist and nicely charred outside, melt in your mouth to differentiate them between just ground beef patty equivalent of fast food burger shaped differently.
The side mushrooms dish had good flavor but was really cold and the potatoes were too greasy because again cold and no unique flavor to make it a must order or even comparable to cheap franchise frozen fries?!!
My advice to the restaurant, owner, manager whoever that may care to actually hear an honest opinion : improve the dining experience and flavor profile, to hopefully avoid our experience for any customer, please read the review and make sure our experience is never again repeated despite your potential ratings or clients.
You have to organize your service and kitchen coordination better so not only diners are getting their food in adequate time but you also cannot serve absolutely next day take out cold temperature food and need to elevate your flavor profile to be comparable to others in area for same cuisine and price point.
Just leaving an honest review, spent $200 and despite everything still tipped 20%. So this isn't a being cheap, complaining for the sake of and being picky, like I said we frequent lots of restaurants and give honest feedback and this is one of the first bad reviews as felt bad complaining or letting you know in front of other diners there.
Will we go back??...

It was interesting trying out an Armenian restaurant and we were very excited to start with before waiting for hours for the food. Overall the experience was mixed, when the food is good it's very good but there were also half of the dishes we wish we didn't waste money on (details below). The management of the restaurant has a LOT of room to improve on and the service level and experience overall was more negative than positive.
The food came out extremely slow, we waited for an hour before entrees were served, and after accepting their apology on the delay, it took more than half an hour before desert was served - it was just yogurt so no baking or anything was required, and the dessert only came out immediately after we said we need to go and will cancel the order if it's not available - we feel that it was ready just no one bothered to deliver it to our table.
Also we dined with another couple and we split the bill at the end. I was surprised the waitress asked "should I put all the apps on your bill?" - it's one thing that we didn't mind but another to be asking this question opposed assuming items shared between two parties are split on the bills as well. If it's a customer who did not intend to pay for all the apps on the table, the waitress asking that question either puts the person being asked in an awkward position or the person will pay a lot more than planned on this meal and neither would have been a pleasant experience.
Another unpleasant surprise was for the dip we ordered, we were charged $5 for extra bread. I can't even recall another restaurant that charges for extra bread. While the bread was very good and we would have paid to order more regardless, the fact that the waitress did not mention there was this extra charge in advance was quite negligent, and then also she again assumed this shared food should go on one party's bill.
Review on Food: please note that most of my feedback is personal preference and while I love middle Eastern food in general, I am no expert in it

Read moreOmg! I don’t know how to describe my experience in Mayrik. I wanted to treat my friend so I reserved the table in advance. I went there, no one was there to welcome us. I saw chef was walking around and he did not have a menu to give us, he told us to choose from website. Anyway the waiter/server came and gave a menu. We asked for real Armanian dish from breakfast menu. He suggested Fuller or something which has chick peas. After half an hour, he told us, “sorry, there is no chick peas so we have to choose something else.” Why could not he come to us right away and said this? He waited half an hour to tell us that. That means we had to wait more time in there. Our choice was already limited and it was hard to choose what else to order since we could not order anything with chick peas. The food came really late. You will see the photo of my order which was garlic yogurt and poached eggs. It cost $18. I did not find anything special on that dish, it’s so plain, I bet I can make it better. My friend ordered Shashuka, it tasted good though. Just to let you know their cutleries don’t include spoon, just imagine having poached egg with fork and everything is falling in between the gap. I just wanted to leave the place. I asked for bills. He brought the machine. I was looking at the receipt and machine amount, don’t match. I asked him why my receipt is $46 something and machine shows $54. I asked is tips included which is not showing in the receipt. He said I might press the tips on the machine which I did not touch yet. Anyway I saw Shashuka costed us $20(I think I saw it was$16 or $18 on the menu), plus he charged us $4 extra for Shijouk(I don’t know the exact spelling) which he did not mention before that he will charge extra. We ordered Shashuka only, we did not know what Shijouk. The place was kind of empty. I did not have to reserve in advance. I don’t know how famous this place is. I chose to have an exceptional experience. Yes, I had an exceptional experience which was so awful that I never had in life. I rarely write bad review of any places. If I don’t like any places, I skip the review. After spending $54 for nothing and I had to come home and make my meal to fulfil my hunger, so I don’t want anyone to waste their money on this. It’s waste of time also, waiting that long for food. Come on! How do you run a business without having your...
