May 8, 2026: Went there around 9:45 PM. Still only one kitchen staff. I was unable to sit at the table I wanted because it wasn't cleared. I sat at another table but was subjected to wind following customers as they entered. I ordered chicken dum biryani (boneless) and mango lassi. The entree wasn't anything special and if anything it tasted dry and reheated. It certainly wasn't worth $30.51 after taxes and with tip. Something's up there for sure. You can't have one guy in the kitchen managing such an exhaustive menu and complicated dishes. The owner seems to give good lip-service but not much action.
I went into the restaurant at around 9:00 PM on Tuesday, April 29. They had one guy managing the kitchen and waiting tables. Ridiculous. He didn't complain and had an extremely positive attitude about the whole thing. He should be paid double but I don't think that happened. The owner or his kids should have been in there helping him. I never see the owner. They seem to let the staff run the show and while they do an excellent job and are extremely hard working, it's not a good look. Hope they are...
Read moreI was so excited to come here and wanted to make it a regular venue cuz its close to home. However, we asked for regular (plain and masala) dosas, we were served paper dosas. When my dad asked about it, the lady insisted they were the dosas we ordered. She only admitted it when I told her the difference between the two.
Yes, we know the difference, we've been having dosas at restaurants for decades and even make them at home!
It is one thing to serve the wrong food, its quite another to be DISHONEST about it when asked.
I was going to sleep on this experience before writing this review because what they served was still decent, so was the idli and mango lassi. The vada was hard and very brown.
The lady's dishonesty when we asked about the food really ticked me off and thats the reason for this negative review.
As I said earlier, its one thing to serve the wrong food, its quite another to think about your customers as fools and try to get away with dishonesty!!! Really sad! They also made no attempt to make it right the next time or offered any discount for serving us...
Read moreWow so happy for this location to have opened up near me. I have been a big fan of the My Roti / My Dosa restaurants throught GTA and gave tried several locations. I have ordered most frequently from midtown location in the past but that is also more than 3km away from me. This new location is the closest to me and I decided to try it today by ordering lunch take-out of my favorite paneer bhurji dosa for which there was a special Buy 1 Get 1 Free offer on Uber Eats.
The order was perfect and it was one of the tastiest versions I had have ever had of this order. The taste and flavour was on point. The quantity of all items m was just right and the bhurji, chutneys and sambar were not too spicy or too oily -just how I love it. The dosa also arrived perfectly fresh and soft with crisp edges but not soggy. It hadn't turned into a dry oily cracker, which tends to happen sometimes with takeout when the dosa is cooked too crispy and goes cold.
I look forward to trying this location more in the future and hope my future orders are going to be consistent with my...
