I was there yesterday with my daughter and friends, a big group of us and my daughter ordered the ribs. Unfortunately, she is very picky with her food in general and didn’t like the ribs so I kindly told the waitress if she’s could switch it for the chicken instead, my daughter loves the Portuguese chicken. When the waitress told the owner she looked really upset and said to the waitress very rudely, “well I’m not gonna throw it out just give it back” so the OWNER comes to my table no proper introduction as to who she was. She says, “what’s wrong with the ribs?!” I said to her, “nothing is wrong with it it’s just that’s my daughter doesn’t like it. She likes the bbq style” then she’s goes “the Canadian style?” And I felt like at that point she was mocking me and being discriminative. Little did she know that I am Portuguese, speak fluently was born in the Azores and my daughter who is 10 was born here but speaks portuguese as well. At first she told me that I had to pay for both plates and I was asking her why because i never experienced that before especially coming from an owner. Then she’s changed her story to say well I won’t charge the chicken but I’ll charge the ribs instead because they are more expensive. At that point i just wanted to leave, I was embarrassed and uncomfortable so I just told her to charge me whatever and end the problem that i never meant to cause. Ending my story, before my daughter and I got to the restaurant we live 5mins away, I told my daughter that if we like the place which I knew we would, we eat Portuguese food all the time again we are proudly Portuguese that we would go there often for dinner but after this experience we won’t be going back there,...

First time here , there was lots of choices on the daily special . I decided to order from menu , I got back ribs , and it took awhile almost 20 minutes. It was very good and it didn't have any bbq sauce on it . The potatoes were perfect melt in your mouth and the salad was a little soggy but ok. I very much appreciated the pricing with the taxes built it , my dinner was very affordable at only $17 and glass house wine was 6 my Coke Zero was $2 , my total bill was $25. For the price with good service I was very happy , I highly recommend this place , looks like the steak and chicken are the stars in this place , I will definitely order those next time . Paid Parking on streets . The server also gave me a choice for my red wine to be chilled or at room temperature.Second visit , had the grouper steak with potatoes and rice . The grouper was fried and just a little dry , but very tasty . I will order that again . This time I had the espresso and Portuguese tart . Both are good to end the meal . Will NEVER GO BACK AGAIN…DON’T GO THERE AVOID THIS PLACE, I went 2 times, my mother as well and we had the worst experience with the elder lady who was taking and serving our order, VERY RUDE SHE HAS NO MANNERS , she made us feel really bad and we are paying to have a good meal and time otherwise we stay home and eat at home, this lady treat very bad my mother just for trying to sit before the table was ready, and was rude with us other day because we were deciding what to order and she was in a hurry, what is the point of spending money and time in a bad place where the person who serve you mistreat you and have not little patience, we complaint and then we were informed that she was the owner that work as a server as well she work very hard and she does not sleep, and she treat customers and employees very bad so it was useless to made the complain, me my family and all my contacts will never go back to this place just for the way we were treated.
