So I finally tried Delina after hearing people rave about it—and yeah, I get the hype now.
It’s a cozy little spot on Queen East, not fancy at all, but super welcoming. You walk in and you’re greeted with warmth, good energy, and the amazing smell of spices and grilled meats.
🍽️ What I ordered:
I went for a chicken plate—you get to build your own combo, which I love. I added lentils, beet-potato salad, kale, and eggplant. Everything tasted super fresh, not greasy or overly salty like a lot of takeout spots.
The chicken was nicely spiced and moist (thankfully not dry). The lentils were a standout—comforting and flavorful without being heavy. And that beet salad? Surprisingly addictive. You can tell they care about the ingredients.
My friend got a falafel wrap and straight-up said it was one of the best he’s had in Toronto. Crunchy outside, soft inside, and not drowned in sauce. And for the vegans out there—Delina has your back. Tons of veggie and vegan-friendly options that aren’t an afterthought.
💰 Price:
Honestly, the portions are huge for the price. I paid around $12–$14 for my meal, and I was stuffed. Great bang for your buck, especially in Toronto.
🤝 Service:
The guy behind the counter was super friendly and patient with all my indecisiveness. You can tell they’ve got regulars—people kept coming in and chatting like they’ve been eating there for years.
🛵 Delivery vs Dine-In:
Dine-in was great, but I’ve heard from some folks that delivery can be hit or miss (stuff like the meat drying out a bit or the rice getting mushy). If you’re nearby, just pick it up or eat in if you can.

🌟 Final Thoughts:
If you’re looking for healthy, hearty food that actually tastes amazing, Delina delivers. It’s not some flashy Instagram spot—but it’s the kind of place that keeps you coming back. Simple, soulful, and satisfying.
Would I go again? 100%. Would I recommend it? Yes—especially if you’re vegetarian, vegan, or just tired of...
Read moreNot great things: Food was good but not great, especially considering the high prices (e.g. $9 plus taxes for a small bowl of salad). Their plastic cutlery was very flimsly with jagged edges (spoon cut the inside of my lip). They had no forks (plastic or otherwise), and when we asked for a fork they took a used plastic fork, washed it, and gave that to us. They had a kale and apple salad behind the counter, but when I ordered it became clear there was just 3 pieces of apple on the top and no apples in the rest of the salad, and in the whole bowl I ordered they specifically avoided giving me any apples at all until I explicitly asked for some, at which point I got a single apple piece. This felt like a bait and switch / dishonest advertising.
Good things: The person behind the counter was very nice and the atmosphere was also lovely (bright colors, plants, clean restaurant, clean...
Read moreTasty food, cute atmosphere and quick service. I ordered the fish dinner plate with 3 sides: eggplant, chickpeas and Lima beans. I also had a lentil soup, hummus and balaclava. Everything tasted amazing, fresh and healthy. My only concerns were that I was charged for an extra balaclava and if I didn’t notice it then I would’ve paid more than I should, so double check your bill. And when I got home I saw that the hummus appetizer came without any crackers or something to dip it in. Otherwise everything tasted better than expected and the space is very clean...
