So happy that a Kibo opened in the upper beaches! We've been to the Queen/Jones location multiple times and were never disappointed. Their rolls were always on point, and for the price, best sushi in town! Rolls never had too much rice, just the right amount, and everything was freshly served. The fact that it's so close now, is huge! Also their mobile online ordering system is pretty good. You go to their website, setup an account, and browse their online menu for what you want to order. You can do pickup or delivery, and the great thing is, you save on all those pesky ubereats/doordash fees!! Also, once you order, similar to the Domino's app, it shoes you where in the process your food is at...NOTE only go pickup when it says "ready for pickup"... This will hopefully help u avoid lining up outside for too long We went Saturday evening and it was PAcked! I mean..mostly pickup orders bc of covid and no dine in, but the line was out the door for pickup.. Only mishap was that we ordered a side of toro tuna nigiri and even though order went through on the order portal...on pickup they said they didn't have any toro... Disappointing but they promptly refunded the money...order portal should've caught this so hopefully they work out OOS kinks... But food, quality, and price cannot be beat!

Sushi is a tricky business ‘cause majority of the losses come from the fish going stale when you don’t have solid customer base to consume the supply of these expensive fish specially in Canada (unless you’re in Japan) while Japan has abundance of these fish at a lower price. So these restaurants like Kibo chain stores etc avoid losses, by serving customers “stale” fish or let’s say “old stocks” from those previous days, the problem is -PEOPLE could get sick from these as these are RAW obviously. Its always a hit n miss scenario. Sometimes you could get fresh fish on a sushi on some days and most of the days we don’t. Sad and BAD! Ordered from Uber Eats and had Rosedale maki and Aburi assortment. All of them DID NOT taste fresh. There was some dark discolouration on the surface of the snappers and tuna. The amount of Eel on the Rosedale was so tiny i couldn’t even taste it, and they overly stuffed the rest of the maki with avocado. 😂 Stop serving people bad stale fish or you could get sued one day.

My fiancé and I ordered some dishes from here for lunch and everything was both fresh and delicious! Kibo Sushi House is a chain of restaurants where they only do pick up and takeout sushi- no dine-in seating. The service, however, is prompt and fast! I got their Takoyaki, Salmon (Sake) Sashimi and Scallop (Hotate) Sushi. All of it was so tasty and fresh! The sashimi was super fatty and the scallop was deliciously delicate. My fiancé got the Beef Teriyaki Don, which came with a soup and salad. The Don also included two yummy potato croquettes. Lastly, we had their Chicken Katsu Maki. Everything was absolutely delectable. If you’re looking for some fresh sushi or other Japanese dishes that you want fast or to pick up instantly, Kibo Sushi House is your place. I definitely recommend!

Just left, after waiting in the store to be served and no one came to take my order, there upstairs working (busy I get it) but with no one in the store for pick up or to place an order and I get a quick glance from one of the girls working there but still no Hi, how can I help you or any kind of service. It’s funny cause they have a sign at the register about increased prices due to the effects of the produce market, so first increased prices as well as no acknowledgement, seems as though the business only serves delivery services like door dash, Uber or skip. Not to mention that I callled for pick up, was told to wait and the call was just hung up. Anywho, horrible service and even though I didn’t get the opportunity to taste the food, I doubt for the frustration gained, that the food is good enough to appease. Wouldn’t recommend unless you don’t respect yourself or it may be your thing if your into torture like...
