I ordered a pizza at approximately 2:20pm for delivery and did not recieve it until over an hour later, even though delivery time is supposed to be between 25-35 minutes. I could see on the tracker what time the pizza was made. The pizza arrived cold. Everyone knows how cold pizza is unappetizing. It wasn't warm, it was cold. Like the crust and toppings werent soft and warm anymore, it became cold and stiff and it didnt taste good. They also sent the wrong dipping sauce. I ordered creamy garlic and they sent me ranch. All these small details add up to a huge disappointment. When I made the order the girl on the phone was unprofessional and didn't even answer the phone as dominos. She just said "hello?" I had to ask her "hi, is this dominos pizza?". She answered yes, and then as I started speaking to her regarding my order, she suddenly I guess realizing her mistake, acted like she suddenly couldn't hear me and was talking over me in annoying manner where I had to hang up and try calling back again to which she answered "hello, dominos pizza" the second time. It was a strange interaction and unnecessary. I just wanted to confirm if the pepper flakes are sent seperately and not on the pizza as not everyone in my family can handle chili. She said yes and confirmed. Then she said she is calling me to confirm my address (when though I am the one who called her lol). I think she is confused and trying to cover for herself as she is lacking proper training in customer service and how to speak to customers in a professional way. She seemed like she was out of it. Needless to say after I hung up and speaking to her I knew my pizza order was not going to be good, that is how incompetent she seemed on the phone and completely out of it. I was right! I have the email confirmations of when the order was placed to when it was delivered. The delivery man was nice and friendly and had the regular professionalism of a delivery man. I commend him. However, Unfortunately for the food being cold, taking long (my location is only 5-7 mins away) and wrong dipping sauce sent with the other annoyances, I have to rate 1 star. The food needs to be number one! It's pizza! Pizza should be hot and fresh and it isn't rocket science. You should be able to deliver it hot and fresh to a customer just a small few minutes away (5 minutes away) and be able to handle a telephone call with a simple question without annoying and disturbing the customer. I also have a photo of the wrong dipping sauce that was sent too. It simple, Don't start preparing the pizza if the delivery man isnt available. Or at least make efforts to keep the pizza hot and fresh until its delivered! You work in a hot pizza store with huge ovens! There are only a few dipping sauce choices, it isn't that hard to focus and send the correct one! I feel so disappointed and dissatisfied. I wish management would contact me regarding this. I live in the US and wanted to send a pizza to my 94 year old father-in-law for his birthday who lives in Toronto. But I didn't want my father-in-law to have to pay for anything. I explained all of this on the phone to them and the lady said that yes, they could do that. I gave her my credit card number and she put me on hold. I thought she was running my card. She came back on and said, "That will be $20.87." I said, "Great! You can do it then?" and she said, "yes." I told her to also charge me $5.00 to tip the driver. She said fine.
I called my father-in-law later to see if he got the pizza. He said yes, but that he had to pay for it. I was outraged! What a terrible birthday gift!!! I called Domino's back and she said that my credit card didn't go through and that my phone number didn't go through. I can't tell you how upsetting this all was.
