Steamed dumplings are worth trying. Stir fry dishes (shredded pork stir fried bean paste with bean curds and green onion, fried eggplants with minced pork) were mediocre at the best in fairly small portions.
Usually I don’t leave a bad review as I believe most people are trying to run an honest business and make a living for themselves. But sometimes situations could become ridiculous. We visited the restaurant last night. The foods were okay but what I found unbelievable was the service and how the restaurant was run.
To be fair it was Chinese New Year’s Eve, aka a busy night for lots Chinese restaurants. So we got there early and the place was 1/3 filled at the time. We arrived a little before 630pm, and shortly after several groups came in and there were people waiting at the door for a spot. We got no food until we’ll last 7.
I understand they might’ve not expected such a dinner rush and seemed understaffed. I’m more than willing to be patient and wait, as long as everyone plays it fair. What I found completely unacceptable was that I watched people that came in after us, waited to be seated, got a seat, placed the order, and got their food; while we were still sitting there with nothing but tea.
I approached the staff about the issue. They weren’t rude or anything. But first one told me it was because they placed stir fried dishes which were easy to make and our dumplings took longer - we didn’t have our stir fried dishes either, not even the soup. The second staff’s response seemed to explain the reason, however, infuriating - the chef saw the other people’s orders were easier to make so he made theirs first…
For anyone really likes to try, word of my advice is to place a takeout order and don’t even bother heading over until 45 mins later. Your food will hopefully be hot and...

Came here a couple times pre-renovation and post-renovation. This place offers great selection of northern Chinese dishes (with a focus on dumplings ofc), as well as some Korean fusion options. When i came here before the renovation i dreaded the sticky tables and dirty floors, but i endured it because food was worth it. I have to say, after the renovation, this place looks way cleaner and aesthetically pleasing, while maintaining the quality and consistency of their dishes.
When i come here i usually order one type of steamed dumplings (pork and chives is my favourite), one type of fried dumplings, and one noodle item. You can't go wrong with the steamed dumplings here. The wrappers are thin, but strong enough to hold everything together when you pick them up. They put a good amount of delicious filling as well. In terms of the fried dumplings, the pork pot stickers take first place. They're beautifully pan fried, crispy on the outside, juicy and meaty on the inside. For noodles, i personally like the beef noodle soup. Nice beefy broth topped with vegetables (usually shanghai bok choy), and elastic/bouncy handmade noodles.
The place is pretty big, so don't be afraid to bring a larger group. Service is pretty good, though i don't think they speak much English (Mainly mandarin, can understand Cantonese). Price is amazing for the amount of dumplings that you can get, and the noodle portions are good too. Cash only! Would...

The Caramelized Sweet Potato was good. It was crunchy and sweet on the outside and soft in the inside. Pretty much a good sweet potato with a caramelized glaze on it.
The Braised Beef Pancake Wrapped In Foil was okay. The braised beef and pancake were good but the sauce was odd.
The Chive, Egg, Pork & Shrimp Dumpling was good and filling.
The Sweet and Sour Pork was good. The breading was crispy and the pork was savoury. The sweet and sour sauce was good.

The Chive, Egg, Pork & Shrimp Dumpling was delicious. Would definitely recommend.
The Sweet and Sour Pork was good. The pork was juicy inside and the breading was light, crispy and crunchy. The sweet and sour sauce was awesome.
The mixed rice in stone hot was okay. It could use more veggies and sesame oil, as mixing the rice made the mixed rice a bit dry. Overall it was not too bad.
Heads up, they do discount if you pay cash. It’s...
