Eggsmart — Restaurant in Toronto

I recently had a highly disappointing experience at Eggsmart that left me frustrated and dissatisfied with their customer service. As a customer looking to have breakfast alone, I arrived at the restaurant only to find that all the smaller tables were occupied.The restaurant had 3 large tables that were unoccupied, two could sit 6 people and one could sit 8. However, when I approached the waitress to inquire about sitting at one of the bigger tables, I was met with an extremely unwelcoming response.

The waitress, without any attempt at empathy or understanding, simply refused my request and bluntly stated that I would have to wait until one of the smaller tables became available. When I questioned the reason behind this policy, she dismissively replied, "I don't make the rules; that's the policy."

Such a response is completely unacceptable. It is evident that the waitress lacked any willingness to provide a satisfactory explanation or even show basic courtesy. Her indifference and unwillingness to accommodate my reasonable request left me feeling disrespected and undervalued as a customer.

It is essential for any establishment to prioritize customer satisfaction and create a welcoming atmosphere. Unfortunately, this Eggsmart failed to meet even the most basic standards of customer service during my visit. I found their policy of not allowing customers to sit at larger tables when smaller ones are occupied to be arbitrary and inflexible. This rigidity reflects a lack of consideration for individual circumstances and the unique needs of their customers. If anything they could have broken off one of the small tables from the 8 people table to accommodate one person.

I believe that a successful restaurant should strive to make each customer feel valued and appreciated, regardless of the size of their party. In this case, I was made to feel like an inconvenience simply because I was dining alone. This discriminatory treatment is not only disappointing but also reflects poorly on Eggsmart's commitment to customer satisfaction.

Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this Eggsmart to anyone seeking a pleasant dining experience. The lack of empathy and inflexible policies demonstrated by the waitress have left me with a negative impression of the establishment as a whole. I hope that Eggsmart takes this feedback seriously and reevaluates their customer service practices, ensuring that every customer is treated with the respect and consideration...

I haven't been to an Eggsmart location in awhile but today was a perfect on the spur of the moment decision when a good friend invited me to this treat. This outlet was in the Bridlewood Mall area and they serve breakfast, lunch and brunch.

Most locations open at 7 a.m. and close at either 3 or 4 p.m. daily.

The decor is upbeat colours...seeing orange is a happy morning even though it was overcast outside.

Enter the menu...It has so many combinations of items that make you want to order one of each. Most main items are under $15 and you can then add this/that depending on how hungry you are.

Today, the meal choice was Smoked Salmon Provolone 4-egg omelette with Rye toast, home fries and fresh fruit $12.99 and a BLT Chicken Avocado Wrap with home fries & fresh fruit $11.99 plus the Signature Coffee $2.50 with free refills.

Our server was Kathy. Service was quick and the food was on our table in under 15 minutes. She came back and topped up our coffees too. A delicious happy meal thanks to my good friend.

Oh by the way, Eggsmart has a social responsibility policy for their suppliers about Animal Welfare (which deals with Broiler Bird Welfare, plus Cage Free Eggs), and The Environment. Another great reason...
