Walking into Fallen Feather is like stepping into an enchanting space. The staff are friendly and explained the menu, which is an exciting fusion of French and Korean cuisine, very well.
For my appetizer, I chose the scallop tataki. While the presentation was nice, the flavours didn't quite come together for me. The scallops were fresh, but the chili broth lacked any real heat or distinct flavour. I could taste the apple, grape, radish, and citrus pearls, but the dish as a whole felt a bit one-dimensional. I think slicing the scallops thinner would allow them to better absorb the other flavours. I would give it a 5/10.
My main was the half-order of sous vide Kalbi short ribs. The portion was quite large for me, and the sauce was nice and flavourful. However, the ribs themselves could have used more seasoning. I didn't find them particularly enjoyable and felt there was a lot of room for improvement. I would rate them a 6/10.
The real highlight of my meal was the fries. The moment they arrived, they smelled like a childhood memory. They were perfectly crispy on the outside and wonderfully fluffy on the inside. I usually only eat a few fries at most in a restaurant, but these were so good I ate almost all of them. 9/10
Overall, this was an okay experience for me personally. The fantastic atmosphere and great staff make it a place worth visiting, and I'd be willing to return to try one of their...
Read moreThis restaurant clearly doesn’t care about anyone around them. This wasn’t the first time they blasted music late into the night, they received complaints before and just keep doing it. Last night, they were playing unbearably loud music past 2am, completely ignoring the fact that Toronto noise bylaw only allows loud sound until 11pm.
There are families with young kids, elderly people, and autistic residents in this neighborhood who rely on peace and routine, and none of that seems to matter to them.
A neighbor even went there to ask them to lower the volume and guess what? Nothing changed. The manager acted like it wasn’t his responsibility, when all he had to do was turn the music down a bit. No one was asking to shut the party down, just to be respectful.
And as always, the next day they come back with a generic apology written by chat gpt, saying it “doesn’t happen often.” But it does. And it will keep happening, because they refuse to change anything.
If they don’t have proper soundproofing for this kind of event, then shouldn’t host it. Or at least follow the law. But clearly profit matters more to them than...
Read moreI had the pleasure of visiting Fallen Feather on Ossington Ave, and I can confidently say it’s a gem of a cocktail bar! The interior is absolutely stunning—elegant yet cozy, with a perfect balance of modern design and intimate, warm touches. It’s the kind of space that makes you feel like you’ve stepped into a stylish secret haven.
The real highlight, though, is the food and drinks. The fusion of Asian and French cuisine is genius. Each dish is thoughtfully crafted with bold flavours that blend the best of both worlds. Whether you’re enjoying a delicate French-inspired appetizer or a more daring Asian twist, you’ll find yourself savouring every bite. The cocktails are equally impressive—innovative and refreshing, with just the right balance of flavours. The mixologists here clearly know their craft.
Service was top-notch, and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable, helping us choose a drink that perfectly complemented our meal.
Highly recommend Fallen Feather for anyone looking for a unique dining and drinking experience in Toronto. Can’t...
