What's not to like? They do what they do, and they do it well. If you're looking for a Korean style katsu, this is one of the best, especially in terms of value. I've had a few things from them, but consistently come back, not just because they're close by, but they're very hard to beat.

The sandwiches are awesome - good bread, the coleslaw, good size, good price.

As this is not a fancy joint, what you're getting is great value for money. The portion sizes are awesome.

I'm always getting the pork and chicken (dark meat) katsu dishes, with rice, and a side of coleslaw. They pound the meat thin, so if you were going to "complain" somewhere, I guess that'd be where. But they always give you a lot of meat, so you definitely feel like you're getting twice as much from the get go. When eaten immediately, the breading they use is great! Heats up well on the following day too, but recommended to be eaten immediately. I reheat in the air fryer, and it turns out as good, if not better than when I pick it up. The rice is good, almost always good texture and mouth chew, and they don't skimp - it's a solid bowl (portion) of rice. I like the balance the coleslaw gives, I'd prefer a slightly finer cut cabbage, but no complaints - it goes quite well with the meal.

The parking lot here is tiny, there's room, but it always seems cramped. When I had my big truck, I preferred going to a neighbouring lot just because manoeuvring in there was a pain - maybe if you've got a small car, no biggie. With my minivan nowadays, it's fine, just don't be surprised if you need to 3 point turn at some point.

They take cash and debit, but if you do buy via Uber Eats, you can pay via credit and they do give loyalty points, so it's almost a near even "value" (minus the tip and delivery surcharges of an app)...

I highly recommend this place! You can get better "quality", or slightly more complex katsu dishes that are fusioned with cheese or other sauces, but this one's more traditional.

Staff are also very friendly. Grab one of the curry mayo sauces on the way out, gives a nice change to the regular...

If a picture is worth a thousand words, the photography of at Fat Ninja Bite makes their food drop dead delicious! But of course, since I can't taste food through Instagram, I made my way to the restaurant to find out.

Fat Ninja Bite is tiny burger shop located on the corner or Kennedy and Steeles, right next to Pacific Mall. The space is limited to a handful of bar stool seating, so consider getting your made-to-order food to go. Aside from burgers, you'll also find rice, noodles, stir fry noodles, slaw, and ice cream.

I went straight to the most Instagram sexy item I could find; the Don Katsu Pork Burger, with taro chips on the side. Though I had obviously previously seen the burger, I was taken aback by the bizarrely large "patty" that it's served with. Between two standard sesame seed buns, they sandwich a whole bunch of shredded cabbage, lettuce, tomato, and a massive donkatsu pork cutlet drizzled with a Worcestershire type sauce. From my minimal research, donkatsu (or tonkatsu) is a Japanese dish of breaded, deep fried pork cutlet. (Don't take me as the expert here. I'm not Asian, and certainly not Japanese. I may be wrong.) Though this is a fun burger to look at, I can't say that the freakish size of the donkatsu was all that necessary. I also would have preferred if the mound of shredded cabbage was seasoned or dressed somewhat. That being said, it did contribute texture-wise. Lastly, when it comes to the bun, I'm not all that mad that they use a standard grocery store-ish bun, since I get the feeling that they wanted to showcase the rest of the burger.

So was the burger as delicious as it was visually stimulating? I think it's rather obvious that it fell short of great, but it certainly was not bad. I'm always up for trying a new twist on classics, so I appreciate what the guys at Fat Ninja Bite are...

Small venue with tasty food for the money spent and large portions on the protein!

Service : friendly staff & helpful.

Drinks : Canned Iced teas (Nestea tall can and Arizona are overpriced over most places ($2.50 a can). They have a new Canada Dry Ginger Ale I have never seen before : Blackberry Ginger Ale, it is from the Coca Cola family of beverages.

Food : If you enjoy Pork or Chicken Katsu this is the place to hit up. Super large portions for the money you spend. My wife and I ordered the Chicken katsu and Pork Katsu on rice. We enjoyed it much, but we were not able to finish it had to take the leftovers home. Katsu anywhere else will fall short against what Fat Ninja Bite offers. Since the Katsu is cooked at the time of ordering the breading is really crispy. Tho they add sauce when served with rice so the crispy breading becomes soft if not eaten quickly.

Note for Gout sufferers : If cabbage is one of your triggers, you can ask at the counter while ordering to substitute the coleslaw that comes with the Katsu and rice offering for extra rice. On a side note, my wife enjoyed the coleslaw sighs As for me beef is a trigger so I have to completely shy away from any beef dishes.

Venue : small dining area not much seating. Parking area is small, the parking area gets packed easily and quickly. Worse case if you're having a Katsu don craving is to park at Pacific Mall and walk.

Definitely worth repeat visit for the awesome Chicken/Pork Katsu Don on...

Taste: 4 Service: Self Serve Value: 5 Presentation: 5 Overall: 4.6 rounded up to 5 Hi and welcome to another episode of javing it with Javier. Let's see what we are javing today. It's been a long time since I last visited this place, but my friend has never tried and wanted to check it out. Let's see what's changed since last time. We ordered the chicken katsu burger, pork don, gyoza, and taro chips and I have got to say that all of it was very impressive. The burger was huge! It seemed to be a lot bigger than the last time I got it. The chicken was too tender to my tastes. Call me crazy but I like my chicken a bit stiffer. Moving onto the gyoza, they were very well crisped and had the takoyaki bits and sauce on it. The taro chips felt light and were utterly addicting. This is a fast food place and there is limited seating; approximately 12 seats, so that should be taken into consideration if one plans to eat there. In total, those 4 things added up to about 32 dollars and we were stuffed. I can say that the burger is really big for the price and the taro chips being $3 per pack is a steal. Although it is a small an obscure place, it is a must try and is a good place to grab a quick bite to eat. And that's it for today's episode of javing it with Javier. And remember food is life!
