I jumped on the bandwagon and discovered how good Formocha boba tea and their freshly made wagon wheels can be! I have to warn you that the Eglinton st construction is an absolute mess and a half BUT dont let that stop you too hard. There is a green P parking garage within a 3 minute walk and it's only a quick walk from the subway station... within a moments notice, you can get your hands on some really nice BBT and delicious treats. Another nice thing about this place... it's cute and clean with relaxed sitting cubes for groups.

So what is a wheel cake you ask? Imagine light pancake batter freshly grilled up in a shape of a hockey puck (yeaaaah I'm Canadian) and filled with the smoothiest delicious custard. That's a wheel cake. The amazing thing is that is freshly made right in front of you in 12 minutes (a bit of a wait) and it only costs you $2.40 each or if you're super hungry (or with friends) ... just a little over $2 when you buy 2 or 10. For the same price, you can get terrible coffee that has been sitting there for 20 minutes for the same price. I'll take the delicious just made for me wheel cake thank you very much!

Formocha pearl tea - I got mine half sweet with no ice and honestly, I really enjoyed this. It was nice and creamy with a good strong tea flavour. At half sweet, it was perfect to not hide the tea flavour but it wasn't too bitter. The boba was nice and chewy as well and they gave a decent amount. 4/5

Coconut pearl tea - A strong coconut flavour was in this with the tea flavour being a subtle note. I found this one to be a bit sweeter than my Formocha but I did enjoy it for a different flavour. The half sweetness was the right touch as well. 4/5

Cheesecake wheel cake - Ok... my first bite was just a meh because it mostly was only the cake part. It was barely sweet and though fluffy... nothing great. The cheesecake custard... OH WOW. Imagine the best creamiest New York cheese cake and then heat it up and make it molten... THAT'S THE CUSTARD! So if you love cheesecake, this is for you. 4.5/5

Cappuccino wheel cake - I found the cappuccino a bit of the opposite of the cheesecake one. I found the cake part to be more flavoured (it had a touch of coffee note) and more crispier edges (which I liked). The centre was good and had a nice creamy texture. The flavour though wasn't as strong or as delicious as the cheesecake one. Still a great treat to have! 4/5

My dream wheel cake would be the cappuccino cake with the cheesecake custard. Can I make that happen? One can hope the next time I get back...

My friend and I came on a Wednesday night, the place was quite busy but we managed to find a table. We had originally come to try the wheel cakes, however we were told that the machine had just broke and no wheel cakes were available. Although we were upset, we didn't leave but decided to try their drinks. My friend ordered the oreo cheesecake hill bubble tea, and I ordered the matcha cheesecake hill. Firstly, it took almost 10 min to make each drink after we ordered. Not to mention that both drinks were very underwhelming. The "cheesecake hill" is just whipped cream with a little bit of cheese foam. The "cheese foam" even just tastes like whipped cream that is slightly salted. There is way too little foam for the size of the drink (we ordered large), and the molasses in the oreo drink was too strong, while the milk was not creamy enough. As for the matcha drink, there was no milk at all mixed in, and the drink had a very powdery texture and was not smooth at all. It was so bad that I had to go back to the counter halfway through the drink to ask them to add milk into my drink; I would have been better off with a matcha latte at Starbucks. We might come back to try the wheel cakes but a definite no for the drinks. My friend couldn't even finish the drink and threw...

We came on Sunday and ordered 1 Formocha milk tea (less sweet- half ice), 1 Hojicha slushie with Cheese foam (less sweet), and 1 Wheel cake (matcha flavor) today. Our feedback is as follows:

Food quality: Formocha milk tea comes with boba and not much tea flavor, however, my friend said that it is still strong. The hojicha slushie is really good to me cause I can taste a lot of hojicha in my tongue, and cheese foam is a bit sweet. Recommend hojicha slushie with cheese foam everyone. The wheel cake was made fresh so the cover is sponge and warm. Matcha filling was in custard form but no taste or smell of matcha much. To me, the cake seems like Korean taiyaki but in different shape instead of the signature fish shape.

Price: Reasonable, similar to other stores

Store atmosphere: Crowded. There is only one table left when we came in and we quickly grab that. The green color was chosen as theme color that makes the store looks quite vintage on the outside and but creates a fresh feeling...

Be honest, I don’t usually leave a bad review, but you guys need to train the staffs. I have been here for 4times. Today, I ordered caramel milk tea and matcha. 5minutes later, my order was ready and I thought it was wrong one because that drink was purple, so I asked her “Is it caramel milk tea?” And she was like yes caramel. So I trusted her because it was my first time trying out caramel milk tea and after taking one sip, I felt like weird taste and checked the bottle. Yeah it written ‘ta mt’ (guessing its taro milk tea) How they made this mistake even the colors are completely different. And last time, I think its machine problem, but the staff put my drink in the carrier with the lid not covered properly, So I spilled it all when I opened it.
