My recent experience at Fresh Kitchen Restaurant was nothing short of a complete disaster, primarily thanks to the alleged manager who seemed to take it upon himself to ruin our entire dining experience. Unfortunately, he denied to tell us his name and told every other employee to not speak with us, when asked, so I’d shortly describe him as a chubby short male, I’m sure you can figure it out from here.
The manager was undoubtedly rude, and his behavior was baffling, instead of providing a pleasant atmosphere, he kept bothering us incessantly, all because we dared to have other drinks alongside our teas. It's called variety, isn't it? And even if there’s a policy to not bring foreign food to your restaurant, it was our very first time at Fresh Kitchen, and we didn’t know, but already bought our teas. I mean, as a manager that guy could have settled the problem with a friendly reminder about your store’s policy to not bring any other foods, not even drinks (which is not actually a meal last time I checked). However, he was relentless in his efforts to make us uncomfortable.
How does this help us become your consistent clients? How can we ever return and give another chance to your restaurant’s meals if there’s a manager who resorts to name-calling, hurling insults at us for reasons we couldn't fathom, all for a few extra drinks after we already bought your product? It's astonishing how someone in his position could behave so childishly and unprofessionally. When we tried to reason with this manager, asking why he was acting so bizarrely, he went as far as labeling us “in crisis”. We attempted to engage in a rational conversation and understand his perspective, but all we received in return were baseless vague insults
In an effort to address this issue responsibly, we requested the manager's name, intending to leave a negative review specifically for him, because other members from the Fresh Kitchen Team were nice at the beginning. However, instead of cooperating, he responded with the utmost disrespect. He even went as far as instructing his staff to remain silent while we were asking for his name. It was clear that he had no intention of resolving the situation professionally.
Needless to say, my friend and I left Fresh Kitchen Restaurant deeply unsatisfied. It's a shame that the unprofessional behavior of your manager overshadowed any potential enjoyment we might have had from Fresh Kitchen menu, what appeared delicious online. We had come to dine and relax, not to endure a manager who clearly lacks the basic skills of customer service.
My recommendation: steer clear of Fresh Kitchen until they address this issue and replace their so-called manager with someone who knows how to treat customers with respect...
Read moreI've been eyeing this location for over a year since it's only a few seconds drive from my house but have only had the chance to visit today. did not regret it!
the reviews I've seen have generally been around "eh, not so great" which generally revolve around service (which I sort of understand, will expand in a bit) but I'm really delighted to say that I didn't have a horrible experience today.
there wasn't anyone inside when we first came and it took a few minutes for us to be seated. this wasn't ideal since we had a reservation booked. I wasn't upset about it though because the server was pretty kind and attentive. they offered a seat with outlets after seeing me with a laptop in my hands and told us to sit wherever we liked.
the service was great too. they didn't rush our order, didn't kick us out because we were taking a while to eat/took our time to study, and periodically checked on us if we needed anything else to order.
the food was also delicious. we had the happy hour buffalo cauliflower wings ($8) and tacos ($8) as well as the beach bowl ($15.5) and a few juices ($8). the tacos' size was generous, tasted great as well (my meat-loving and texan partner approved). my bowl was also almost finished before I remembered to take a photo lol. I liked my immune boost juice better than my healer one but they were both great. the glass packaging was a plus.
the happy hour menu is really affordable. I see a lot of people saying that this place is expensive so if you check out their happy hour pricing, you'd be delighted to consider this...
Read moreHere for another visit and got great service from Julia who was my server while I was here. Once again thoroughly enjoyed the Eat Your Greens with tofu cubes and the liquid gold latte with coconut milk. Outstanding!
This is my previous review: The food here is of high-quality nutrition and well prepared. The highlight for me was the recent extraordinary follow-up by Lindsey Davilmar, of Fresh.
As I need to monitor my diet very carefully for managing my chronic kidney disease, I wanted to know the exact amounts of the ingredients in a salad I purchased (the Eat Your Greens salad) at the Yonge and Eglinton location.
On a daily basis I need to know my intake of potassium, phosphorus, protein and sodium. Therefore knowing the exact amount of ingredients in a menu item is extremely important.
So I later phoned in to see if someone could help me.
I managed to reach Lindsey Davilmar, who cheerfully and efficiently provided the information I was after so I could easily enter it into my nutrition app and therefore know the profile of the salad.
Lindsey went the extra mile and provided me with the ingredients profile for all of the salads and bowls I was interested in from Fresh.
Having all these Fresh offerings in my app means that I can conveniently and knowledgeably order from Fresh and not be chained to my own kitchen for meals.
Bottom line: thanks to Lindsey’s good-natured follow-up, most of my future spending at restaurants will be at Fresh.
Great food...
