Frankie's Nashville Hot Chicken — Restaurant in Toronto

A VERY DEPRESSING SANDWICH. ;(

I drove 20 minutes from Lakeshore & Brownsline to Dixon Rd due to my curiosity. I love heat and I like a crispy chicken sandwich.

The sandwich looked fantastic... great bun, it was hot (temp),crunchy and had tasty pickles to boot!... BUT... there was no flavour to the sauce whatsoever.. tasted like burnt oil!... and No Heat ( spice) at all.

and the curly fries.. dear Lord... shoestring type... barely warm. But the winner was the Coleslaw... yummy indeed!

The girls at Lone star were great ..they took my order quickly and had a Corona Sunrise at the bar while waiting for my food..it was awwesome!... Very fresh tasting,highly recommend it!

I'll try them again just to see if it was a one off... but if it happens again I'll stick with my true favorite, St Louis just down the street, never been disappointed...

So firstly...this is a TAKEOUT only place located INSIDE LoneStar Grill. Didn't know that...took me a while to find it.

That said, the sandwiches were below par. It was just breaded chicken with some random hot sauce. Nashville hot chicken are like red in color dusted with hot seasoning....what they served was just chicken strips on bread. The jalapeno Popper version was the same thing with jalapenos...lol. They didn't even as me how hot I wanted it! The curly fries were broken into a million pieces...needed to use a spoon. Won't be ordering here again...I had really high hopes when ordering.

Inconsistant

After not having tried Frankie's ever, I ordered twice this week. The first time the BOGO chicken sandwhiches were amazing. Was super impressed and recommended to friends and family who have also now placed orders and are planning on catering a lunch with these sandwhiches.

Tried them again yesterday to see if it was a fluke or if I found my new go to for fried chicken sandwhiches..

Was night and day different,

No sauce on the tenders, ordered hot as frankies which didnt even register a heat signsture. Barely any pickles and worst of all the chicken was dry. After this, I wish I hadnt been so quick to recommend Frankie's as I was extremely disappointed in the inconsistancy and...
