Fritou — Restaurant in Toronto

Decided to try here for their 3rd Anniversary Promotion: $12.99 8Pc. + Fries [Plus free small slushie coupon]

Food: We ordered their Regular and Western chicken; both were plain and basic. Especially salty... also had their regular fries and spicy fries; again plain and salty, as though they were bought from the grocery stores that can made at home. Even their spicy fries were basic despite the spices (which were not coated evenly). Their slushies on the other hand were good.

Customer service: The wait time was atrocious! For a place that should be considered fast food; they are not. Customer service was not good. The owner had his teenage daughter take orders and she was not welcoming. They are unorganized and incompetent. While patiently waiting for our order, another couple walked in and ordered the same promotion but received their order first because the daughter had given our order to them; we overheard the owner lecture her saying that we were waiting first.

Packaging: In terms of their packaging: Not very sturdy, but could be a part of an environmental initiative or to cut costs, can't say for sure. Which is possibly why they do not separate the fries from the chicken; just toss them all together in the flimsy box...

Overall: This restaurant is small with roughly 10 tables for eating in. Accepts all forms of payment. Their menu is super expensive for such basic and salty food. In addition to poor customer service, definitely will not be coming back. Only gave them an extra star because of their...

Out of all the chain/fast-food restaurants Fritou takes the crown for best chicken burger. It's an actual real chicken breast battered and fried. I always get the spicy one. My wife loves the fried chicken as well. The fry portion seems a bit smaller now but honestly for the price and quality I don't care. I saw someone comment about wait time. Food took forever to make. All I ordered was a Fritou poutine and 3 pieces pf chicken with fries. I was in the store for about 20 minutes and the only customer. Price was almost $19.
