I've been to other locations and their food was tasty. So I decided to give this location a shot. Had their chilli chicken with steamed rice. The food came out pretty quick and It was surprisingly really good. The chicken was crispy and there was the perfect amount of spice. However, one thing I did notice as the dish cooled the chicken had a slightly bitter after taste, I'm not sure why. Maybe it might be the batter or maybe it might have just been me. For those of you who decide to give this place a shot maybe try eating it quickly. Other than that, I'll try this place again when in the area and maybe try the chilli chicken with gravy next time.

Great food for the price. Got chili chicken on hakka noodle for like $14. Also got masala chicken on fried rice for about $15. Can’t believe I can get this much food for that price in 2023! In Toronto!! I know the area isn’t the best but if you are around the are, give it a try. Spring roll was included in the dish but wasn’t a fan of it so didn’t eat it. I had left overs so packed it to go for later. Server was friendly, there is 10% gratuity already on the bill but we added a bit more for the nice service.

I personally consider Hakka No.1 as an Asian delight. Its seafood feasts, noodle recipes, or the typical fried rice plates are exquisite. Like someone said in another comment, "the name of the restaurant justifies the taste of the food." The quantity and portions of their meals are abundant, their prices are very economical, and the ambiance is nice. In summary it is a very nice place to go and have some Asian delicacies.

@Noaman Abdulla For the review by Noaman Abdulla You posted first … mostly at me … let’s go! I am actually a regular local customer and friendly of the workers … I can’t let you give misinformation and slander … because of our unkindly interaction You harassed a young female worker because you didn’t want pay service charge (tip) dine in ($1.80) after FINISHING YOUR MEALS … I felt to intervene and called you cheap, you got angry and cussed at me (said he will *uck me up) I simply matched the same energy and you didn’t … you ate all the food and didn’t want to pay because of $1.80 tip included … around a $25 dollar bill … I travel and Central America charges 10 percent service charge for dine in service … get with the program … tip the servers … don’t kill the messenger I told you I don’t even work there, your such a liar lol … go cook at home and serve yourself … apparently I threatened to locked the door … I can’t lock the door because I don’t have the key …. I stood in front of the door because you said you where gonna leave without paying ( meals finished with a full belly) … morally I can’t let you steal … like I said … I don’t work there, I am a regular customer … liars beware … let’s be real … you tried for a free meal … with the inflation these days… dude needs to cook at home … good luck … groceries ain’t cheap … also (lol) … misinformation is so real … I don’t even review stuff … buts let’s be real and you stood in front of my vehicle after you left … I approached you (my property)… and this is public now … your energy was different, leave the small business workers alone, this was personal for me to post this … this was customer to customer bro. I’m not a liar like you, I even requested the cameras for proof … wink … I hope we cross roads mah dude … I still eat there … food is still good … I...

I regret having to compose this review, as it pains me deeply. I've been a patron of this restaurant for the past decade, back when it was located on Finch and Milvan. However, it appears that the new management is deviating from the outstanding food and service this establishment once prided itself on.

Today, upon perusing the new website, I placed an order for a couple of chicken dishes and chicken hakka noodles, anticipating a routine pickup. To my surprise, when I arrived at the restaurant, the owner refused to provide steamed rice with the dishes—rice that had been complimentary for the past 15 years. He claimed that their policy had changed, which would have been understandable, but nowhere on the website was this change indicated. In fact, the website clearly states that steamed rice comes with all the dishes. Instead of acknowledging his mistake, the owner engaged in a heated argument and declined to provide any rice. While it may seem trivial, the situation was handled extremely poorly by the owner and left a loyal customer deeply dissatisfied.

Furthermore, the quality of the food appears to have declined. Finding chicken in the "Chicken" Hakka Noodles felt akin to searching for a needle in a haystack.

Regrettably, it seems that the new ownership lacks the best interests of the customers at heart. If I were a potential diner, I would opt to spend my hard-earned money elsewhere, where I am treated with greater respect and...

We have been eating from Hakka for a ver very long time maybe 20 years + now, the food has always been good. But this location absolutely ruined everything yesterday, literally was about to throw up 🤮.

We were driving back to our city and seen this location in Etobicoke on our way back. We decided to grab something for us and our relatives. Firstly the cashier was rude to begin with, only because my wife had a few questions with the menu as it was different from the other Hakka no. 1s we usually go to.

Once we got home with the food, we noticed right away just from the looks that the general Thao chicken was super dry, and also really cold on the inside. This was 100% frozen and reheated but still not heated enough so it was still frozen cold on the inside. Also the fried speacial house rice had a really bad fishy smell and also very sour, this is not normal as we have eaten it many many times at the other locations. The Hakka noodles with chicken was also not normal the chicken was cold and had a bad smell.

Very very bad and unpleasant experience, ruined our family...
