Gabby's - Bloor West — Restaurant in Toronto

I walked into this place approximatley 1145pm. Google showed open until 1am, decided to try and grab some grub after a long day at work. I was with 2 friends, immediatley sat ourselves at the bar. The bartender was in the kitchen, she did not see us walk in, she made eye contact after sitting for 5 min , turned off the light in the kitchen and walked over to a table. Wings looked fresh on that table, maybe 2 other tables occupied , after 10 min of sitting at the bar, the bartender approaches the bar and at this point, still did NOT acknowledge us. I had to get her attention and asked politely if the kitchen was open, and what time the closed. She didnt even make eye contact, responded with a no. And 1100pm( although the wings at the booth were looking fresh). You could clearly see she did not want to talk to us, and she was not welcoming AT ALL. Decided to leave and have a drink elsewhere seeing as the bartender clearly was not happy that we were there. I have been to gabbys once , I will never return to a gabbys location after my experiemce. But hey, overall google shows a 4.3 reveiw.... maybe she was...

Food is good but understaffing causes some bad customer service and attitude towards customers. Long wait time for food on Friday nights and weekends!

Visited this location for a dinner, was fairly crowded, there were only 2 staff members present, a chef and a server (who also did everything else). The owner should take critical action as they're overworking some unhappy staff.

Ordered a Fajitas and Starter Platter. The starters took one hour; Fajitas arrived 15 minutes after. When I asked the server about the food duration and the fact that plenty of takeout was being catered to and how it was unacceptable to keep customers in store waiting for an hour. The server broke out and was temperamental, told me not to pay and will pack the Fajitas when it's ready as I mentioned we won't be waiting anymore.

Giving the server some time, I then went inside to pay and mentioned how it may not be her fault but it's also no way to deal with anyone. I did give them a large tip as I genuinely felt bad for them...

I came to gabbys after doing some Christmas 🎄 shopping. I was so tired and hungry and just wanted to relax. It was busy in there, but not overwhelming. The bartender acknowledged me right away, introduced herself as Judy. I ordered a pint of beer and asked for the menu. I wasn't sure of what to get. Everything looked so good. She recommended the special which was half price wings. There were many options of sauces. I chose the Parmesan Caesar. It was out of this world delicious 😋 I absolutely recommend it. I was satiated. Judy asked if I would like another beer. I was going to go home. But I felt very comfortable and I felt like hanging out a bit longer. When she wasn't busy, we talked for a bit and she complimented me on my pink hat. She made me feel good and we shared some laughs. Overall an enjoyable atmosphere and the bartender on duty was professional and friendly. I will definitely go back for these wings and...
