When dining out, the mark of a truly exceptional restaurant is not only its culinary prowess but also the warmth and dedication of its staff. At Vibo Restaurant, the embodiment of this outstanding service comes in the form of a wonderful server named Pauline. Her professional grace combined with an unparalleled commitment to ensuring each patron feels genuinely cared for, adds a layer of warmth to the dining experience that is as comforting as it is unique. This, coupled with Vibo’s spectacular food, guarantees a dining experience that transcends the ordinary. It's not just about the food on your plate; it's about the feeling of being special, of being taken care of, and no one does that better than Pauline at Vibo Restaurant. From the moment I walked through the doors of Vibo Restaurant, I knew I was stepping into a culinary oasis that would surpass my wildest dining expectations. If there's one thing that Vibo masters, it is the harmonious marriage of unparalleled service and gastronomic excellence that leaves an indelible mark on its patrons. Nestled comfortably in the heart of the city, Vibo Restaurant sets the tone with an inviting ambiance that whispers elegant simplicity. The tastefully curated decor complemented by a well-lit setting envelopes you in an atmosphere of comfort and luxury, setting the stage for a dining experience that is nothing short of sublime. The pièce de résistance of my visit was undoubtedly the AAA steak that took my taste buds on an adventure of their own. The meat was cooked to perfection - tender and juicy with every bite infusing a burst of flavors that lingered long after the meal. Paired with a carefully selected wine list, the dish elevated the dining experience to celestial heights. While the food certainly holds its own, what sets Vibo Restaurant apart is the exemplary service provided by the staff. My server, Pauline, was a testament to this ethos. She elevated the whole dining experience, attending to us with a professionalism and charm that was genuine and heartwarming. Her intuitive understanding of our needs and her quick action to fulfill them not only satisfied our expectations but went far above and beyond them. Pauline’s incredible knack for detail, from suggesting dishes based on our preferences to ensuring our glasses were never empty, transformed our visit into an intimate dining experience that's rare to find. Her infectious energy and dedication to providing a memorable dining encounter were evident in every interaction, making the evening all the more enjoyable. To encapsulate, Vibo Restaurant is not just about excellent food; it’s about a holistic dining experience. This culinary gem offers a blend of exquisite cuisine and extraordinary service that is inimitably refreshing. It's an epicurean haven where food meets art and service exceeds perfection. To anyone in search of a dining experience that tickles your taste buds and warms your heart, Vibo Restaurant should be your go-to destination. And when you do visit, ask for Pauline - your culinary guide who will ensure you leave with a smile on your face and a desire to return.

Quite frankly, we were appalled. Especially considering they seemed super thankful to have us expand our group from 2 to 4, on arrival, our server didn’t look too pleased. Maybe it’s because we were a table of BIPOC young adults (ages 26-40, we might add)? Or maybe just because he didn’t think we were “white collar enough”... I’m not sure, but his demeaner towards us just got progressively worse throughout the night. As a group of individuals that knows the industry too well. Having worked in it for nearly our entire careers, the last thing we wanted to do was pull a “Karen”. So we decided to keep it in and stick it out to see if it got better. We ordered a bottle, and not once did he come to refill our glasses. He didn’t do a table touch... when we asked if the buratta came with bread, he pointed at the bread basket with a look of distrust and said, “ya right there.” If that isn’t disrespectful. I don’t know what is. I get it, times are tough. This was the last night before another shutdown... but the last people you should be disrespecting is a table full of guests just looking for a good last dine-in experience. Instead he made it super frustrating. The food, was decent. The calamari was delicious, the burata was kind of dry (didn’t seem fresh), the pasta dishes were okay and the seafood pasta was super fishy (also not fresh) and the short rib was way over cooked. But again, we sucked it up, ordered dessert. The creme brûlée was super watery. Not creamy at all. The chocolate lava cake.. was chocolate cake. With no soft and creamy centre at all. After that, we ordered after dinner cocktails, the espresso martini was superb, the baileys on the rocks... spoiled. Luckily the bartender that came over to serve it to us was excellent and had a great sense of humour. Wanting to replace it but we opted to just get the bill and commented that the server we had was not great and that we wish we had him. He ignored it. Not once did a manager or anyone else come by the table. Despite the terrible service, we still tipped extra generously, on quite the bill... oh wait, but they took off the baileys and chocolate lava cake (that we didn’t drink or eat anyways). How gracious of them... All in all, especially at these times, I hope these comments are used not to reprimand that individual, but to ensure proper service is expected of ALL employees. Especially at these times, last thing people need or want is the stress and disturbance of a disgruntled employee ruining their night. Wishing you much success.

Luca continues the triumphant legacy of his parents Resto (Villa Borghese), with his exceptional interpretation of what a dining experience should be. VIBO represents not only his pedigree and their aspirations but ultimately something truly extraordinary. Always striving for more and never resting on their past successes. Their menu is always evolving with fresh, local and relevant combinations. Classics are given modern inputs that elevate and amuse diners. The menu is wide but carefully curated. All dishes are presented with substance and quality. Their wine list is fantastic…very approachable but also extremely well stocked if your searching for something rare and special. The service is staffed by mature fine-dining professionals, many of whom are career servers, dedicated to their craft and this institution. The dining room features an array of seating options, from booths to a stunning bar area and the front area (with fireplace) that can accommodate larger groups. The patio is around the side and superbly organized and presented with gorgeous lighting. They also offer and event space on the second floor, that I celebrated many of life’s milestones. I am submitting this review having had three recent outings there and over 50 dinners there in the last decade. If you want to enjoy a memorable dinner, you will be very hard pressed to find a better Resto. Very much worth a visit. Friendly and Generous in spirit and food. You arrive as a guest, you leave as part of the family. Way to go VIBO, cheers to another 50 years in the community and city.

We were invited here yesterday for a special occasion luncheon. It was a group of about 25 or so. We had most of the back area to ourselves. It was perfect. They even did up a beautiful sign for my niece. The ambience is exquisite and on par for a restaurant of this caliber. The service was outstanding. We were mostly served by Agnes. She is the perfect server. Patient, friendly, attentive and she knows the menu well and answered any questions we had.

We were served water/sparking water, choice of a red or white wine (or pop for the younger folks) and a little champagne for the toast. I had a white wine and it was smooth and went well with my meal. I'm not a frequent wine drinker, as I prefer beer, but I do enjoy wine on special occasions. This was one of the better ones I have had (I don't know which one it was) and ViBo has an extensive wine selection from what I saw upon entering.

The appetizers came out first. They were all delicious and presented beautifully. I cannot name them all, but the highlights for me were the bruschetta and the calamari. They were not the typical fare you would find at an average restaurant or pub. The bruschetta had fresh tomatoes and grated parmesan and the calamari was in a light breading and was not at all chewy, but tasted fresh and amazing with the accompanying cocktail sauce. All were served hot and fresh and absolutely delicious.

We had a choice of several entrees. I chose the veal piccata which I had never had before. It too was presented magnificently and tasted even better than it looked! It was accompanied with fresh vegetables and potatoes. The sides were very tasty as well. Everyone at our table enjoyed their meals. Including my sons; one had the salmon and the other the penne alla vodka. They very much liked their meals also as did everyone at our table.

The dessert was a sorbetto which I had not heard of. It's similar to sorbet and served with berries. Was good, but not my favorite part of the meal. By then I was quite full and I just prefer ice cream.

Overall, this is an outstanding, authentic Italian eatery. As we were invited guests, I cannot comment on the cost as I typically do in my restaurant reviews. I think that should normally factor into the perception of a restaurant. Based on other reviews, it does appear as though this is considered a high end restaurant (our experience certainly confirmed that) and the cost will undoubtedly reflect that. But I would not hesitate to return here, especially for a special occasion and in particular if that occasion was a group event. So I would definitely recommend ViBo as a venue of choice for a special occasion or just to have an authentic Italian experience in a friendly, cozy atmosphere and dine on sumptuous dishes, with an elegant presentation and...

We’ve been to Vibo a handful of times and have enjoyed the experience, which is why we recommended it when dining out with another couple. Since we dine out quite often, they asked us to pick a place. Unfortunately, this recent visit was a bit of a letdown in terms of service.

Our server didn’t introduce himself and when all of us had arrived, he abruptly said, “since I’m here, I’ll just tell you the specials.” While the specials sounded great, when I asked for a reminder later, he gave us an oversimplified list: cod, lamb, snapper—without any details. He didn’t bother to recommend anything on the menu, and when he gave us the short version of the specials, we were a little put off by his lack of effort, so we didn’t bother asking for any recommendations either. There was no warmth or connection from the server, which impacted the overall experience.

On a positive note, we were greeted by a very lovely lady at the front, and she was equally gracious when we left, which was a pleasant part of the evening.

We opted for cocktails instead of wine, though one of our guests mentioned she would have a glass of white later in the evening. The server simply picked up the wine glasses and never circled back with her regarding that glass of wine. On a brighter note, the cocktails were great—the French Martini is highly recommended, and the St. Germain m/Prosecco cocktail is nice and light as well.

The food, as always, was delicious. We started with the Caesar salad (which could use more oomph), the beef carpaccio, and the caprese salad. The caprese was absolutely delicious, and the carpaccio was good too. Our mains were linguine and clams, lasagne, cod with Argentinian shrimp (outstanding), and the Zuppa de Pesce. While the Zuppa de Pesce was excellent, the fish was very undercooked. When we mentioned it to our server, he asked if I wanted another piece, but what would have been more appropriate was simply correcting the dish without asking.

For dessert, we had the sticky toffee pudding and the molten lava chocolate, and both were divine—the chocolate lava cake especially stood out.

In hindsight, I wish I had approached the very pleasant lady at the front and asked if we could be moved to another section with a different server. It may have made the evening more enjoyable for everyone.

The overall ambiance of the restaurant is great. They had a piano player that evening, which added a nice touch to the atmosphere. I’m not sure if that’s a regular thing, but it certainly elevated the experience.

While the food at Vibo continues to impress, the service needs improvement. Service makes or breaks a dining experience, and in this case, it left us feeling a bit disappointed. My husband and I felt somewhat let down that we had recommended this spot to...
