Gino's Pizza & Wing Machine — Restaurant in Toronto

SERVED RAW BACON & ILLEGALLY CHARGED US TAXES! I have attached photos of the receipt and the food to this review as proof.

First, the bacon in our salad was completely raw, the bruschetta and pizzas were burnt black, and a pizza was missing a topping (green chillies). Second, the restaurant charged us HST/tax when they do NOT have an HST number WHICH IS COMPLETELY ILLEGAL! We called to report these issues to the customer service line and sent them photos as proof. Not only did the chef at the restaurant refuse to give us our money back, but he actually defended his food by claiming that it was fine and he did not see a problem with it, despite the customer service rep agreeing that the bacon was unsafe to eat and the pizza was burnt. I suppose the chef, not that he deserves to be called one, burns all his food at home and eats raw bacon exposing himself to food borne illnesses, like all great chefs do? Anyway, after over an hour on the phone with customer service, we finally received a refund for the burnt and raw food and all the HST that they had illegally charged us (which proves guilt, by the way).

They are truly a disgusting excuse for a business and I hope they get shut down for thinking it is okay to serve customers raw meat and break the law to steal from customers and the government via tax fraud. As of the date of this review, they received a conditional health pass which can be viewed on the DineSafe website. This further proves that they are not operating up to health and safety codes. I'm sorry that I ever gave this business any money when they clearly do not deserve it. Please do not support these frauds and do yourself a favour and spend your money at a business that won't scam...

EDIT: Ordered today a hot italian sausage pizza with tomato sauce, feta and double cheese... I dont know who made this pizza but the crust is cardboardy, the sausage looks like pepperoni and isnt hot italian like they usually are at ginos . Instead super thin and not like usual. The sauce was ok . More acidic. Ordered thick crust, got thin with creepy little holes pokes/holes on the crust. Didnt get pesto ontop like I got before when I ordered it. Barely got feta. This is horrible. Im extremely disappointed. From a 5 star experience on june 15th to now a one star on june 28th.

The lady that served us was nice and so was the man that made or order. Food was okay. The premises was horrible, we will never go back. The walls have plaster patches everywhere. Walls were dirty and needed to be painted. Music was waaaaay to loud and there were several drunk men hanging out in the restaurant (and a few outside the door) and they were still being over served, despite them being drunk, loud and obnoxious. My husband and I were surprised that the staff just kept serving beer and spirits to these people. None of the drunks were eating, they were just getting loaded. STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOLE.
