If you are really hungry but don't want to spend big bucks on fancy lunches, head over to Green mango. Their $12-ish lunch menu features extensive Thai authentic food - just enough to satisfy your cravings and your wallet. While the actual meals come in at a normal restaurant price, their bun beef as shown in the picture below, is a savory stir fry beef with lemongrass paired with chopped salad and vermicelli. I'm also a big fan of their lemongrass soup. The restaurant also offers a serene ambiance with modern Thai-inspired interior. Customer service is always friendly - true to Thai spirit and culture.

I had a bad experience at this restaurant as I went there for the $16 lunch menu. The "pad thai" was bad and not authentic at all. I understand this is a Vietnamese Thai fusion cuisine restaurant, but as a Vietnamese person, I don't recommend this dish at all. I asked for the dish to be replaced with a different lunch special, but they wanted to charge me extra for the new dish. I took a bite and left the plate as is. My coffee order was also made quickly at the counter so that I would pay for that too. Overall I would not recommend this place for lunch as it's cheaply and poorly made food.

Friendly service and delicious food. This is a great place to go with family and friends for affordable, yet delicious Thai food. There are also a few Vietnamese options on the menu, such as pho, to add some variety. The restaurant is very neat and aesthetically pleasing on the eye. A comfortable and low-key atmosphere. There are also many interesting drink/sweet options on the menu as well for those who have a sweet tooth. I have yet to try those myself to be honest! More reason to go again.

I ordered spring rolls and a vegetarian dish. We waited about 20 minutes for the appetizers to come so I thought they would be freshly made. The spring rolls came and they were lukewarm to cold? I decided to let it pass and did not say anything. Again we waited a bit for the main to come and normally I am used to dishes being piping hot when they come to the table. It was barely warm and then I realized this food was probably ready made and they are probably microwaving it and giving to customers (it was not a busy night so that can't be an excuse). I asked the waiter to warm it up and he was back in 2 min..and it was still cold. In addition the dish I ordered tasted like vegetables in a sugar sauce...it was just gross. Service was okay but I had to ask a few times for a water refill. It was obvious wait staff there do not care about the customer service experience.

Never...

Green Mango is a great local spot to get Thai food. I love the ambiance of the restaurant as it is very calming and relaxed. The servers are very kind and service is relatively fast, leading to a wonderful dining experience. I had their chicken pad Thai, and while it is not the best pad Thai I have ever had, it’s pretty darn good. It was oozing with flavour and consisted of a wonderful combination of ingredients, however I did find it to be a tad soggy compared to other pad Thai dishes I’ve had. The dishes are quite pricy when you factor in the quality of the food, however if you are looking to try this restaurant out, I’d recommend going at lunchtime where they have a $10 lunch special which includes a variety of their top dishes. Overall, if you are looking for Thai food, Green Mango is a fairly good option and probably the best...

Been going to Green Mango for many years. I used to eat there all the time, food always delicious, staff very friendly and attentive. Today I dropped in to get the pineapple chicken fried rice (one of my favourite dishes). Sadly, I was very disappointed in the quality of what I received. The dish was lacking flavour, I asked for less pineapple and more cashews, but instead received an overpowering amount of pineapple, frozen carrot pieces and peas, gross amount of long (wormy) onions, and the tiny amount of cashews were not whole cashews they used to put in dish, but tiny, thin pieces. Such a huge disappointment, especially because the rice came to over $27 with tax! I would expect high quality for that price! Just so disappointed, waste of money. Will not be returning to what used to be one of my favourite...
