Grill Gate provides a comfortable, welcoming atmosphere with calm lighting and an even and well-decorated dining space with a wood-like aesthetic; the kind of place that feel like home.

The staff are welcoming and hospitable, demonstrating the prime goal of customer satisfaction and relatability, with an open kitchen that is not afraid to show how professional they are with burger creation. They were open, honest, and kind.

The menu was a bit odd, very basic in design and not showing anything regarding combos (like the classic burger, fries, and drink combo) or even including fries. The host was quick to answer my questions regarding combos, however, so it could be implemented on the menu at another time. They do have fair prices!

THE BURGER: Cheeseburger and Fries with a drink (~23 bucks)

You'd think with a classic go-to option of the cheeseburger, you'd know what to expect. I was wrong; a fool in a man's shoes - but a tarot card fool who is blessed to be lost.

The fries were classic shipment provided fries with a garnish, can't complain about the stuff Costco provides as they were prepared with a crunch. They did come with a strange tangy sauce, however. Not my tempo but I can see the appeal.

The cheeseburger floored me. Not only was it a great size given the price but it was cooked incredibly with a twist: it had sliced AND mozzarella cheese (as shown in the divide photo). A great twist to a classic that tasted fantastic. A bit greasy but it made up for it by being juicy and surprising. The bun was well prepared and toasted accordingly, adding to the texture. Fantastic and surprising food!

There is an accessibility concern regarding the washrooms, as they are found below a stairwell. If you use a wheelchair or have mobility requirements, the washroom is currently a no go. A damn shame too since it's clean as a whistle.

If you are ever in the area and want a great burger at a decent price, go to Grill Gate. If you like surprises, you won't be...

This restuarant is the best hidden gem of the entire Danforth! The sheer amount of creative burger options on the menu is deserving of its own singular accolad waie - but that's not all this special little spot has to offer. The execution of every item on the menu is flawless - portions are ginormous, delicious, and there is no skimping on things like cheese and toppings. I had the Beirut burger AND the philly cheesesteak burger - both of which I was allowed to order with a lettuce wrap to suit my keto diet. These were some of the best low carb (or just general) burgers I've ever had, piled high with all the good stuff. The atmosphere is so warm and welcoming - we attended on a Friday and were treated to beautiful evening of live Persian music, and even 'tho we ain't Persian, we were treated like family and made loads of new friends. In short, Grill Gate is one of the few places on the Danforth that's got it all - great food, amazing spirit, lovely warmth and as many or as few carbs as your heart desires. Cannot wait to go...

Grill Gate is a culinary gem that caters to all appetites, offering a masterful selection of meals that will satisfy your cravings. From their Gourmet Cheeseburgers to their Signature Philly Steak Sandwiches, their menu strikes the perfect balance between home-cooked comfort food and indulgent flavors.

We had the Signature Philly Steak Sandwich and it was out of this world. It is not your ordinary Philly Steak, as they actually stuff the bread with it and then some more! Definitely a must-try at Grill Gate.

The star of the show at Grill Gate is their meticulously crafted Gourmet Cheeseburgers. The succulent prime hamburger meat, marinated to perfection, combined with freshly sliced herbs and exquisite mushrooms, creates a sensational explosion of flavors. But what truly sets their cheeseburgers apart is the classified secret sauce, elevating each bite to a mouthwatering experience that will leave you...

Grill Gate serves up burgers and sandwiches with a unique twist. Got the Beirut Cheeseburger (which had baba ganush on it) and the Guacamole Cheeseburger. Both had good sized patties which were pretty tasty, cheese and buns were standard, and there was this thin layer of crisped onion (?) which was really interesting. Between the Beirut and the Guac, definitely go with Beirut since that baba ganush really differentiates not just the burger but also Grill Gate. Got the meal with side fries which were crispy and had a really yummy coating. Prices were reasonable. Space was clean and inviting. The people were warmly welcoming, informative in their suggestions, and quick with service. Easy recommendation to go try out Grill Gate!
