Hero Certified Burgers — Restaurant in Toronto

This is an excellent casual fast food burger restaurant.

The owner is wonderful, warm and friendly, offers you a deal every time! Got a free upgraded bun, fries. (I did spend $16 with tax guys, but still!)

The burgers are B-E-R-E-T-T-A BABY! Beretta! Local, traceable Angus meat in the beef burgers, OMG ! This ain't some fast food krap baby!

Burgers had an excellent, beefy flavour, (and I had a double! 😁😍), and char-grilled to order too.... Just outstanding!

The mushroom poutine was excellent! Could have used a few more cheese curds, but lots of gravy, and piping hot! Just what I needed on a cold hungry night!

They also have healthy options, such as a veggie burger, a grilled chicken burger, turkey burger and a WILD salmon filet.

On that topic...... It's rare to get wild salmon in a fast casual, or even higher end restaurant (and most don't say on the menu, you MUST ASK!!). Most of it is FARMED, which has mercury in it...which isn't good for us. At all.

Same with what's in the supermarket folks! Read your labels, and ASK! You can generally tell by the price... But still, always ask! And read labels on salmon cans.

I was dying to try the milkshake, I hear they're good, but I was just too DAMNED cold! -18 with the freaking wind chill.... Bite me winter... Which it did!

Also, hats off to them for offering LIGHT MAYO....... First restaurant I've ever seen to do it! It tastes just as good as the regular folks, but a lot less calories!

Now if we could only get restaurants to use light sour...

So the first time we went to this place the restaurant wasn't very busy but still the tables were dirty and the washrooms weren't very clean. No you have to find the stuff to clean the cable and see that you were sitting on. However I got introduced to the crispy chicken fries over here which were super delicious. And the turkey burger was good too. The chicken burger was however overcooked and hard.

Given that we really liked the crispy chicken fries we decided to go there again, and this time again the table wasn't clean at all and the washrooms were dirty too and almost out of TP.

Also there were two staff and the restaurant wasn't busy at all. We were the only two customers in the shop! I saw the cleaning bottle sitting there feeling lonely, picked it up myself got some napkins and cleaned the table and chairs myself, the server wasn't really looking to clean it.

Then came the food. this time around the experience was no different than the condition of the restaurant. I took a first bite of chicken fries and felt it significantly different, while I was thinking this in my head the friend with me spoke up and said the chicken fries this time are different! We both felt that It appeared as if they had forgotten to marinate the chicken and simply rolled it around in flour and presented it to us. That is just wrong, they should have simply told us that they were out of chicken fries than provide us with an inferior product.

The burgers were also prepared by someone who wasn't really thrilled to do this job, all the toppings were on one side of the burger and not what we had asked for.

Given our experience, we might go here once more just to give them another chance but that would be it for us if things...

I’ve been visiting this specific Hero Burger location for almost two years and it’s been consistent. There are three other Hero Burger locations closer to me but I drive out of my way to go to this one due to the quality, care and great service I receive here.

Service – Priya has always been dedicated to great customer service. I always find she goes above and beyond expectations to ensure customers are taken care of and satisfied by finding ways to enhance the experience. I thought she owned the location based on how important customer satisfaction is to her. I took my niece and nephew for the first time to try Hero Burger. I told her they’ve never tried it so she made sure it was a great experience for them. She even brought the meals to our table instead of the standard practice at other locations of calling out the order for customers to get up and get the meal themselves.

Food – Mahruf (kitchen) is great at making burgers. The patties are really juicy and never overcooked. I’ve never had a bad burger here. My niece and nephew loved the burgers and fries. The fries are nice and crispy. So much so they asked if they could come back. I got to meet him and he is humble and so nice!

Seating – The location is very spacious and clean. You don’t feel crowded or that you are right next to another table. You can easily have a nice sit down meal with your friends and family.

Specials - They currently have a special where a burger is $4.99 and for $1.99 more you can get fries and a drink. You can’t go wrong with that! The drinks are fountain drinks so you can have as much as you want. My niece and nephew liked that they choose different beverages.
