I was very disappointed with the flavour of this ice cream. They have a very interesting selection of unique, seemingly artisan flavour combinations, but the execution is tragically poor. My husband had the chocolate peanut butter, which he described as "cold and waxy" with little to no chocolate or peanut butter flavour. I tried the playful Cookie Monster variety, which was bland and underwhelming. The best part of our experience here was my husband's waffle cone and the run-of-the mill sprinkles on top of my ice cream. Definitely not worth the $15+ we paid for 2 single scoops. We literally threw out 3/4 of our desserts and left to find a Baskin Robbins. We bonded with a couple of strangers outside of the restaurant who also agreed with this evaluation and expressed their disappointment in their not-so-cheap, not-so-sweet treats. Nice idea, very poor execution. I'm sad to have to leave a review like this, because I am always looking to support local small businesses. We sadly won't be coming back to The...
Read moreWe tried it because we were in the area. The store has a lot of cute details in its decor; it tried given Long Branch is gentrifying and the neighbourhood is still a bit ghetto. But, there was just something really off-putting with an ice cream parlour leaving its front door wide open on one of the hottest days of the year, with flies coming in everywhere, and bugs visibly crawling up and down the front window from the inside.
It’s one of those gimmicky places with a lot of toppings, donut and ice cream sandwiches. Quantity over substance. There are actually only about 7-8 flavours - nothing too unique, the one we wanted was almost out. We ended up getting a sundae. It was just okay, and pretty expensive for what it was. Would have appreciated if the girl who served us wiped around the cup a bit after...
Read moreHorrible service. If you want to close before 8pm, please advertise 730pm, so you stop wasting my or other customer's time.
This is my second time trying to come here and never again. Nice hot summer day today and my 3 year old wanted ice cream. We parked outside at 750pm, there is one group of 3 lined up. We lined up immediately after this family went inside. Next thing we know, we're told "that's it, we're closed". It's not just because you left a 3 year old hanging that annoys me (hard enough to get her to wear a mask as is), there's no one else lined up and there's 8 minutes before "closing". There is just one group inside, what's the rush to close? Clearly you don't care for business. I counted two more groups of 2 arriving as we got back into the car. Thank you very much for...
