Table of 5, ordered drinks, 2 khachapuri, 2 servings of cabbage roll (as others have said, it is 1 roll per order), and 1 pelmeni.
We were mostly confused by the service. It was not busy that night (weekday), there were staff mingling around, and it felt like our server was deliberately avoiding our table? We had questions about the food that they struggled to answer when we ordered. Drinks were empty and we couldn't flag anyone to refill. We were still excited for dessert, though, which we also weren't able to order as they gave us the menu and 20min later still hadn't come by to take our order.
A genuinely odd experience as we were a group of 5 seated at the front of the restaurant, quite visible and willing to order the whole menu if given the opportunity.
On top of that, 1 person immediately felt unwell from the food (the only one who ate a whole khachapuri).
Overall unfortunate experience from a restaurant that suggests a premium experience. They're new to the neighborhood but not so new that basic hospitality issues should...
Read moreBeware additional sneaky pricing on bill!!
We’ve been to this restaurant three times and my husband has ordered the borscht each time. There has always been a vegan option which he has never opted for. Last night when he ordered the borscht they asked if he wanted meat and he said yes as usual. The soup was noticeably thicker this time and very filling. He loved it. However, when we got the bill we were very surprised to see that THEY CHARGED AN EXTRA $5 for the meat for his soup and this was NOT stated on the menu nor mentioned by the server when we ordered.
As I mentioned, my husband enjoyed the soup but the surprise surcharge was very disappointing and sneaky. Not cool at all and really a bit dishonest.
We were so excited when this place opened up around the corner from us and were hoping to make it a regular spot. But food pricing has been hit and miss. Pelmeni and smoked salmon were delicious. Cabbage roll was ok but overpriced at $15 for just one roll. And I’ve already mentioned the $21...
Read moreA Hidden Gem of Ukrainian Hospitality and Heart
I had the absolute pleasure of brunching at this remarkable Ukrainian restaurant and left feeling both full and deeply cared for. From the moment we walked in, it was clear this place is built on love and passion—for food, for people, and for culture.
The Ukrainian dishes were incredibly authentic—comforting and flavourful, just like something Baba would make. Every bite told a story. The service? Exceptional. The staff were attentive, kind, and genuinely seemed to enjoy being there. You don’t often find that level of warmth and attentiveness anymore.
The ambiance struck a beautiful balance: inviting, charming, and clearly crafted with intention. It’s the kind of space that makes you want to linger longer over coffee and conversation.
I can’t wait to go back—and I truly can’t wait to watch this place continue to grow. It deserves every bit of success that’s coming its way. A must-visit for anyone who appreciates food made...
