Abysmal. 7 months ago my friends introduced me to this spot and I genuinely thought it was the best slice of pizza I've had in my life. I was very excited to introduce it to my girlfriend and family today. We got an XL Special King Slice Pizza (No tomatos) A meatball and cheese sandwich. And a few dipping sauces. I ordered for uber pickup around 4:10 The ETA uber gave me was 4:52. I arrived at the restaurant slightly early around 4:40 just incase it was ready earlier. I arrive and they are not busy at this time, I say my order name and its for uber..they say they never got an order for that. I show them confirmation and they finally see it on their tablet. So my order had not even begun yet. They told me to wait 10-15 minutes. So it's now 4:45, and I waited in the restaurant until 5:15..close to a half hour more than when I originally ordered. I was never issued an apology or any kind of compensation. But hey I got the food and thats all that matters right? The food was some of the worst pizza I've ever had. It was cold, undercooked and remember how I said no tomatos? Haha yeah there were tomatos. The level of care was not there with the toppings, the cheese had barely even melted. It was incredibly unevenly spread toppings so 70% of slices as you picked them up? The toppings fell right off, even with the support of holding the base. It's impressive how bad my experience was today. I should have listened to the recent reviews. I hope they can get things sorted out way better. I don't know if theres new management but if your service is bad AND the food is bad, it makes for a terrible unpleasant experience. I'd avoid right now and maybe a few months down the line I'll give them another chance. I cant pay 28$ for a pizza like that, no way. Ps. That sandwich..I dont even need to describe, thats disgusting, how would anyone reasonably eat that.

Here’s a refined version of your review: --- We discovered King Slice on Bloor, near Dundas W., while exploring the area near my daughter’s co-op at a video production studio—and we’ve been coming back ever since! This place is an absolute gem. The pizza slices are massive, so large they need to be served on two plates. While the menu isn’t extensive, it covers all the essentials, including classics like Pepperoni, Margherita, Hawaiian, and Supreme, along with a spicy option for those who like a little heat. The sandwiches are also fantastic. We tried the veal sandwich, and it did not disappoint—flavorful, hearty, and satisfying. On our last visit, we ordered a Caesar salad, and it was a pleasant surprise. The homemade Caesar dressing had just the right balance of flavors—not overly garlicky, which allowed the fresh ingredients to shine. What sets King Slice apart, though, is their house-made garlic oil. You can have it drizzled on your crust or over the entire pizza, and it’s a game changer. King Slice is the kind of place that keeps you coming back for more. The welcoming vibe, quality ingredients, and attention to detail make it a neighborhood favorite. I’m sure we’ll be regulars here for a long time.

King Slice on Dundas offers more than just their renowned pizza; their Pasta Bolognese is a hidden gem that truly impresses. This dish is a delightful surprise, showcasing the restaurant's versatility and commitment to quality. The Pasta Bolognese is made with perfectly al dente pasta, generously coated in a rich, savory meat sauce. The sauce is robust, featuring a harmonious blend of tomatoes, ground beef, and aromatic herbs that create a deeply satisfying flavor. The portion is generous, ensuring you leave fully satisfied. What sets King Slice apart is their attention to detail. The Pasta Bolognese is topped with freshly grated Parmesan and a sprinkle of fresh basil, adding a wonderful finishing touch. The flavors are well-balanced, making each bite a delightful experience. The ambiance at King Slice is casual and welcoming, perfect for a relaxed meal. The staff is friendly and efficient, ensuring a pleasant dining experience from start to finish. Overall, King Slice's Pasta Bolognese is a must-try. Whether you're a local or just visiting, this dish promises a delicious, hearty meal that will leave you eager to return. Highly recommended!

Go to literally any other pizza place. There's a reason there's so many 1 star reviews. Many of the 4 and 5 star reviews are written by their family and friends after someone posts legitimate complaints. Please don't be fooled by those reviews.

King Slice used to advertise themselves as providing larger slices for smaller slice market value. However, that is a lie, you're paying the equivalent of a small pizza with half the amount of food now. There's other small businesses with better pizza that still provide large slices for a fraction of this price. Their quality control has gone downhill, their service has always been unpleasant and they blame their ovens or the teenagers they hire. The actual truth is they're lazy and use high temperatures and poorly maintain their machinery.

Not sure if they still own a laundry mat across the street but they also don't upkeep that place and will try to refuse refunds when their machines eat coins, despite there being security cameras. Instead of showing humility or accountability for how they've treated long-term supportive costumers, they can't even be bothered to remember your name and every concern is aggressively responded to, they simply refuse reparations, even when there's obvious quality issues. So please, if you want to support local and enjoy yourself, visit a more deserving restaurant who respects their customers back.

Reasons/incidents you should consider:

  1. Incredibly entitled and rude management that aggressively dismiss complaints. Prepared to feel rushed or humiliated by their staff.

  2. Unsafe and inaccessible bathrooms, this place isn't disability friendly.

  3. Unsanitary practices, such was letting customers in with dogs. Poor oven maintenance, resulting in worse food quality over the years.

  4. Management is impatient and manipulative, they act like they're owed something then use their immigrant card.

  5. Growing up around the neighborhood, I even went to the same school as their daughter and wanted to support their family. We've been supportive for most of my life and they don't even know our names. Literally every neighbour and local friend I have had horrible experiences there.

  6. Management will show no accountability or humility for their lack of service or care. When our laundry machines broke and their machines were eating my coins I was screamed in my pajamas at as a young girl for asking the mother to walk across the street and return my coins. She tried to force me to break bills instead so I had to tell her she needs to check her security cameras in front of customers to receive any help.

  7. Recently my tiny, elderly, mother came in because her blood sugar was low and she wanted to buy a couple slices for us, she first requested to see the bottom of the slices given the quality issues, she was immediately spoken down to by some new young cashier guy. It's not an issue, cashiers stand within arms reach of all the slices, there's never a line up, and yet they still tried to refuse showing her the slices. When she told them she won't buy the slices until they show her the bottom, since they never offer refunds or reparations when anything isn't up to regular standards, she saw they were charred in several places. Obviously, she requested different slices from other old pizzas or the new one, and wanted to buy several sauces. Both the cashier boy and the older family manager started to yell at her for "wasting their time" so my mother, who suffers from social anxiety, felt extremely uncomfortable and quietly left. This is unacceptable behavior and crosses a line.

Coming from someone who poured hundreds here, imagine all the reviews there'd be if more people weren't brushing off their experiences or weren't scared to be attacked over valid concerns. When I was young I was too scared and nervous to fight for myself. They take advantage of shy customers that're kind and forgiving. So many times I've stood outside contemplating my order just to avoid inappropriate encounters. No more, I refuse to support them taking advantage of...

Im very disappointed at the terrible customer service and failure to remove or change pizza toppings to accommodate Religious dietary restriction. Ive been a loyal customer since highschool and to be treated the way we were treated is honestly sad. I have always been able to manage my toppings on the King sized pizza. I ordered a King Sized Pizza with pineapple and chicken (which the lady said I wasnt able to change but kindly did it for us), but at the end the chef made a mistake giving us pork on the pizza. Its confusing because the website Menu says you can choose up to 4 toppings but then I am limited anyways which makes no sense. We were not refunded for their mistake and they did not make it up (only for the 2 untouched slices). What annoyed me the most was that the guy with earrings was purposefully ignoring me when they knew they made a mistake. He attended a line of customers and still ignored me until I called him out. Its unbelievable that someone like him is working in customer service. I even asked to speak to the Manager directly but no one directed me to him/her.

I have had several friends to come over and was about to make a big purchase with my company from this place but unfortunately if they can't acommodate our Religious dietary restrictions by removing a topping then there is no reason for me to continue promoting or purchasing from here unless you make it right, refund me the amount that was taken from me for your mistake. Until then I will consider changing this review because I truly know how good this pizza is, but its unfortunate that there is no religious acommodation to the King Sized orders and that the way this mistake was handled was very poor although the lady did her best to acommodate us. Its unfortunate everuything...
