The staff at this local coffee shop are truly exceptional - their warm, welcoming demeanor and attentive service make every visit a delightful experience. But what really sets this establishment apart is the quality of their coffee. The rich, flavorful brews are consistently excellent, and they offer a wide variety of specialty drinks to cater to every taste.
As a regular patron, I can't help but wish the prices were just a bit more affordable. While I understand the need to maintain a sustainable business model, I find myself having to limit my visits due to the current cost structure. If the owners could find a way to reduce prices slightly, I would be able to indulge in their amazing coffee on a much more frequent basis.
Despite this minor critique, I remain a loyal customer and enthusiastic advocate for this coffee shop. The combination of friendly staff, exceptional coffee, and welcoming atmosphere make it a true gem in the local community. I sincerely hope they are able to find a way to make their offerings more accessible to a wider range of customers, as I believe their business has the potential to thrive even further with a slight adjustment to their...
Read morePros: Pretty good scones. And Americano was good. I ordered it with a little bit of milk. But not sure if they added it. But nonetheless, it was good. Prices are comparable to other similar places.
Friendly service.
Cons: They don’t know how to make a proper Americano. I had to tell them. Traditionally, Americanos are made with water first, then espresso shot after. They told me they make Americanos with espresso shot first, then water dumped into it. And then stir it. This breaks up the crema. Any coffee aficionado will tell you, the crema makes the Americano. It sets the precedence for the rest of the coffee. And always water first. Otherwise, it’s just stronger coffee. Not an Americano.
They charge you $0.25 for water. That’s what it said on my receipt. “Water 0.25”. I have to question any place that charges for hot tap water. Lol
Conclusion: Will I return here? All things considered, I would not go out of my way. I have other places closer to me where I can get the same things. If I happen to be walking by, and I was craving coffee, maybe. Charging for water, that’s otherwise free, would make me hesitant. It’s...
Read moreI was most excited to try my new neighbourhood spot this morning. I was made to feel not welcome as I can't wear a mask. I was about 10 feet away from the barista, whom had a mask and stood behind plexiglass, protected. Demanded I GET BACK, as if I had something wrong with me. I was over the social distance minimum, by a few feet. I asked if they would serve me, to which I was responded , "what do you want", in an abrupt way. I had my debit out and just wanted a coffee, the staff serving customers today was not kind to me. I went up the street to Soul Provisions, where they were more than happy to serve me at the door. I have to say, I walked away from Hunter coffee in tears, so I won't be giving them another chance. There's always another amazing spot just up the street. Try and remember that, I was looking for a spot to buy my coffee. I drink a...
