Have you been watching kshows and been craving jajangmyun and tangsuyuk? This place will fulfill your k-drama food fantasies! It is difficult to find a Korean Chinese restaurant and this place is a gem. The portions are humongous.
We ordered Course A which includes Tangsuyuk, Spicy Fried Chicken and Family Ja Jang. It costs $59.99 pre-tax. Also if you pay cash they give you 5% off. On the menu the dishes were described as small size but the portions were giant.
The fried dishes were piping hot! You can tell that they were made fresh. I loved the sweet and tangy chicken dish especially with the touches of water chestnut. The tangsuyuk was honestly a bit on the tough side. What I did really appreciate is that the poured only on one side so you have the option to dip as well for those that prefer to eat it that way. The Ja Jang was a giant portion mixed with shrimp, diced meat, squid and a ton of onions. Very delicious but super heavy. Definately a large portion to share among 4 people.
I would recommend this spot even though the prices have increased a lot in the past 3 years since they opened.
FYI when we went their card machine was not working so they only took cash or e-transfers...
Read moreWe went when they just opened in this plaza approx. Pre-Covid, and were waiting by the front entrance for the longest time. Waitresses seemed busy with a group of large family while not too many customers there (quite a few empty tables). After a long wait, the waitress was trying to squeeze us into to us tiny table beside that large group of family (very loud). I asked the waitress nicely if we can sit somewhere else, she said "NO" with absolutely zero smile on her face! I asked her why, she said the restaurant is busy with pretty forceful manner, However, there were Only that one large group of family and one table with 2 customers, rest of the tables were empty with No Reservation signs on. I told her, don't worry about it, we're leaving. Our dinner ended up with to other restaurant with friendly service nearby.People go to restaurant not only for food but also for the services. The previous restaurant in the exact same location (Vietnamese Pho restaurant) shared the similar attitude (I would say even worst) went out of business. Not sure if this is because of "Bad Feng Shui" or what, always something in "Human" related issues here...
Read moreWe stumbled upon this restaurant after going to the gym in the same plaza. When we walked in, we were pleasantly surprised at how clean it is inside. We ordered a jajangmyun, tangsuyook, and mapo tofu.
Price: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Jajangmyun: 7.99 Tangsuyook: we got the Sunday special for 13.99 Mapo tofu: 11.99
Portion: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ They’re BIG! Jajangmyun is your typical bowl size but we got a small tangsuyook but it was more of a large than a small. Also, the mapo tofu could be shared between two people (will need to order extra rice if you share). I’m always a little annoyed when I pay $15.99 for a dish and it looks like a kids meal... So, I was super happy that the portions were huge. We had to take food home!
Taste: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Was it the MOST AMAZING MEAL? No, but it was delicious! We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The ingredients are FRESH. Our tangsuyook and mapo tofu came loaded with fresh vegetables and we really loved that. *Also, the kimchee served here as a side dish is pretty yummy, too!
Service: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ They’re nice and prompt. Food comes out...
