Jenny's Bar & Restaurant — Restaurant in Toronto

I’m hoping this was all just a misunderstanding and I wish I could have actually gotten a chance to eat here and enjoy the atmosphere all the other comments speak about.

I’m from the US and my phone was dead so I thought I’d come in for a drink and a bite and maybe I’d be able to charge my phone or just ask if I can call my ride so they would know where I was. So I went in and asked the lady there (not sure if this is Jenny or not) if I could charge my phone enough just to make the phone call. She told me no. And I asked if her concern was that I was going to sit there. I understand businesses being worried about nobody buying anything but I intended on being a paying customer anyway and she just kept telling me no and to ask the guy next door. I’m hoping she thought I was saying I was trying to buy a charger and that’s why she kept directing me next door to the cellphone shop because I can’t imagine why she’d want me to be completely stuck on Dundas, nearing nightfall, without a way home or a way to call a ride. At any rate the cell phone shop next door let me charge my phone and I did that and just ended up waiting for my ride and going straight home.

I’m disappointed because this might have been a good place to check out and revisit when I come back to Toronto but I hate that that experience sort of left a bad taste...

I happened to visit Jenny's bar when I was in the area to go to a boutique, and wanted to grab some drinks with my girlfriends afterwards. As soon as we walked in, Jenny welcomed us with a smile. Drink prices were super reasonable, atmosphere was unpretentious, and the bar had a cozy atmosphere where most of the patrons are regulars there. Jenny was so friendly, she let us know there was karaoke available and encouraged us to sing but we're too shy 😂

Looking forward to visiting again for drinks...

Favourite local hole-in-the-wall pub! Jenny is an amazing women and dedicates herself to amazing service. Excellent price for drinks. There is a jukebox so you can play great music to amuse your friends. Great cozy local feel with some regulars and a chalk board wall where you can write your name or messages. Jenny's also has a couple games, like Go, which you can play with your friends or try to defeat the unbeatable Jenny herself. There are also TVs there so you can...
