Exceptional Birthday Celebration of my mother at Karahi Point Etobicoke

Today I celebrated my mom’s birthday here and I must say, the experience exceeded all expectations. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and enthusiasm, setting the tone for a wonderful evening, it was almost 70 plus guests every everyone was overjoyed

Service: Outstanding Attention to Detail

The service was impeccable throughout the night. The staff was not only professional but also incredibly friendly and attentive. They ensured that everything was perfectly set up for the celebration, from arranging the birthday party hall beautifully to making sure everyone in our party was comfortable. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu, offering great recommendations and catering to dietary preferences with ease.

What stood out the most was the personal touch—whether it was the frequent check-ins to ensure we had everything we needed or the cheerful attitude that made us feel truly special. They even surprised me with a birthday cake made by home chef, and it was customised by our golden theme such a beautiful and thoughtful gesture that made my day even more memorable.

Food: A Culinary Delight

The food was nothing short of spectacular. Every dish was presented beautifully and packed with flavor. We started with a selection of appetizers, including Dahi bhaly, spring rolls mix chat, and masala tea, which were fresh, well-seasoned, and perfectly cooked.

For the main course, our guests enjoyed a variety of dishes, including pullaw, karahi, BBQ and mix vegetables all of which were cooked to perfection. The flavors were rich and well-balanced, showcasing the high quality of ingredients and the chef’s expertise.

The highlight of the evening was, of course, the birthday dessert. The restaurant went the extra mile by presenting a beautifully plated birthday treat, complete with a candle and a heartfelt “Happy Birthday” message. The dessert was delicious Kheer, Raas Malai and cake a perfect ending to an incredible meal.

Ambiance: Elegant and Welcoming

The ambiance at Karahi Point added to the overall experience. The décor was stylish yet cozy and exactly according to our requirements, creating a perfect atmosphere for a celebration. The lighting was just right, and the background music complemented the setting without being overpowering.

Final Thoughts

Overall, my birthday Mother’s birthday celebration was an unforgettable experience. The combination of outstanding service, exceptional food, and a warm, welcoming ambiance made for a perfect evening. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking to celebrate a special occasion or simply enjoy a top-tier dining experience.

A huge thank you to the entire team at Karahi Point especially Mr. & Mrs. Shahid Qadri for making our event so special—we will definitely...

I ordered Butter Chicken, Shahi Paneer, two different types of naan (Butter and Garlic) and Aloo Tikki.

The Butter Chicken was a lot more than I thought. I assumed that it would be all sauce and they would skimp on the chicken but the pieces were sizable and somewhat numerous. In fact there was more chicken in my Butter Chicken than pieces of paneer in my Shahi Paneer! Personally I usually enjoy paneer-based dishes more than chicken-based but this is the one time where the chicken easily won. Both dishes had some heat to it but I was able to get through it all without water. Personally the paneer was a bit 'meh', from this establishment I wouldn't order it again.

The two different naan's I got lasted me throughout the whole meal, and I even had some leftover. They had a little bit of a crisp to it - something that I need texturely while eating so much soft-textured food. I actually liked the Butter Naan better than the Garlic Naan, but that's personal preference.

Aloo Tikki was nice (eat quickly, they get cold very fast) but I would not recommend simply because I wouldn't pay $8 to eat it again.

The atmosphere was cool, with lots of seating and fitting music. The sounds of hot, sizzling food being served adds to the mood. The food also came surprisingly fast, I'd say give or take 10 minutes but it genuinely felt like less than that.

However, where this place loses points for me was the service. When I first came in I was somewhat ignored, and even when I asked to see the menu I was treated like someone who was going to just grab takeout and leave ASAP. Even after ordering, every table except mine was served water. Even after asking for water it never came. I actually had to flag down a waiter carrying a water jug away from another table just to get a glass. By the time the water actually arrived I was ready to pay.

I genuinely think it was because I did not fit the "look" of the average customer; I was definitely the only person in there that looked the way I did. I was tempted to give this place 3 stars for the service but it's entirely plausible that this was just an off-moment for them, and this isn't the norm for folks who have different ethnicities than what...

Placed an order here at 11pm as told on the phone the order would be ready in 30 - 45 min. Got there close to 12. Upon arrival no staff was outside. Upon waiting finally one of the servers came out, asked me the order name. Then proceeded to the back. Waited for her and still the order wasn’t ready. I politely asked her how long and she said her friend is bringing it out. The order was brought out and I paid and left. We got home and the food was extremely cold, stale and not fresh at all. The chicken biryani tasted as if it was 1 week old and warmed up a dozen times. The chicken Karhai was so bad, I couldn’t believe we got it from KP. The chutney was so watery, clearly you can tell how old there food products are all the mint is all the way at the bottom. And on top of that we ordered regular coke, got home and yet another surprise we were given one of them Coke Zero. Everything went straight into the bin, thanks for wasting our hard earned money of $64.38 straight into the garbage. Myself and our family has always raved about KP and the delicious food and all the amazing experiences we’ve had at the Finch location. We figured it’s the same establishment, so we went ahead and placed the order. But not anymore this was the last time. So disappointed with how we were treated here. These types of businesses when they neglect customer service and the quality of the food they eventually lead to closures. Why are you open till 4AM? Cut down with the hours and serve quality food, instead of serving cold, stale and old food. With the one bite we ate, I’m praying we don’t get sick with food posing. Stay away from this location especially. I will be reaching out to public health to look into this location...
