L'amour Cafe and Pastry is like stepping into a cozy French bakery right in the heart of the Mount Pleasant neighborhood. It's a hidden gem that often goes unnoticed but deserves so much more love and attention.

The owners of this charming cafe are a friendly couple who have a great eye for quality. As soon as you walk in, you can feel the French vibes with the chic furniture and the sunlight streaming through the big windows.

The highlight of L'amour Cafe and Pastry is undoubtedly the impressive display of pastries. Muffins, doughnuts, and an array of croissants (including vanilla, almond, and pain au chocolat, etc.) are beautifully showcased at the window. It's clear that great care is taken in crafting each item.

Some details that showcases their commitment to quality is their Belgian hot chocolate. They use real chocolate, which they even showed me. Any connoisseur of Belgian chocolate knows that it is made from high-quality cocoa beans, and this attention to detail shines through in their hot chocolate. They also use the BALMUDA bread toaster...if you know..you know.

To my surprise, they also offer OATLY oat milk, a brand I had previously encountered only in the Netherlands. OATLY is known as the biggest oat milk company in the world, and it's crazy how to find it in such an obscure place in Toronto.

In addition to their pastry and hot beverage offerings, L'amour Cafe and Pastry boasts an impressive selection of Italian sodas in various flavors, from classic choices like lychee to more unique options like melon. The variety is sure to satisfy any craving.

Considering the current economic climate, it is truly refreshing to find a cafe that offers such affordable prices without compromising on portion sizes or quality. Their iced lattes, priced around 5-6 dollars, are equivalent to the size of a venti cup at Starbucks. It's an exceptional value that is difficult to find elsewhere.

For anyone who loves pastries or cute cafes, I highly recommend you checking it out. Trust me, this place is...

🇨🇦 Lamour – Croissant Heaven in Toronto! 🥐✨ Instant favorite. If you’re a croissant lover — this is your place. No limits on purchase, and the croissants come out warm, flaky, and golden. Staff were so kind, smiling while explaining each flavor 🥹 One of the most satisfying bakery visits I’ve ever had.

🍫🥜 Almond Chocolate Croissant – SO good. Perfectly sweet, rich, and flaky. 🌰 Pistachio Croissant – Also great! The pistachio cream could be a tiny bit more generous, but the flavor’s on point. 🍪 Biscoff Croissant – Yummy, sweet with that classic cookie butter flavor!

🥬🧀 Spinach Feta Croissant – For savory lovers, this one wins! Nicely salty, flavorful, and comforting.

🧊 Basil Cream Cheese “Hat” Croissant – Served cold, not flaky, and no texture at all. Honestly felt like chewing on a cold bagel — skip this one 😬

😵 “Giant Bun” (Aman Bakery style) – Supposedly a French-style bread, but this was a total miss for me. Dry, flavorless, and super dense — like a giant steamed bun with no joy. Someone in line highly recommended it, but I honestly don’t get the hype. Major calorie regret 💔

🔥 Final verdict: Only the croissants are worth it — but they are absolutely worth it. Make sure to reheat them slightly for peak deliciousness. Flaky, affordable, generous — best croissant shop I’ve found in...

An Absolute Delight at L’amour Café & Pastry Today Morning ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

After almost an year or so on missing out … Finallyyyyyyyy stopped by L’amour this morning, and wow—what an incredible experience! We tried their spinach croissant and chicken croissant, and both were nothing short of perfection.

Freshness was just ooozzzziiiiing thru the croissants. 🙂

Every bite was a delightful mix of buttery goodness and rich spinach filling that melted in my mouth.

The chicken croissant was equally amazing—warm, savory, and packed with tender, well-seasoned chicken.

Both were a perfect mix of light and indulgent, making for a truly satisfying breakfast treat. We completed this over a cup of Mocha and belgian chocolate with milk chocolate as the flavour.

Beyond the food, the café itself exudes charm, with a cozy ambiance and friendly service that makes you want to stay and savor every moment (specially the cute igloo section that is outside).

My two cents… If you’re a fan of fresh, handcrafted pastries that taste as good as they look, L’amour Café & Pastry is an absolute must-visit!

Highly recommend & will definitely be going again for more! ❤️🥐✨

Wanted to share this as we were just swept off our feet....
