4 years ago: "Can't beat the beef sandwich." Today: walked in to get my usual beef sandwich cooked in hot sauce which I've been ordering here for 4+ years (as you can see from my previous review). I do this so often that for the past 3 years I don't even have to say anything, I walk in, the friendly staff says "the usual?" And I say one or two. This time however, I was told "we no longer do that as of a long time ago". I said "I was here 2 weeks ago and got my usual, what's a long time ago?" And then the employee (who ice never seen before) said yes, as of two weeks ago. I laughed and said okay two beef sandwiches. He then proceeds to tell me that he told my girlfriend the same thing when she was there last, and then it clued in to me that this new rule is ONLY for me. So I've been coming here for almost 5 years, and without any sort of reason why, this place singled me out and canceled my "usual" forever!
If you work out how often I come (say biweekly for the last 4 years) that's $25 order (and I ALWAYS tip) x 24 orders per year. That's 600 per year, for a total of $2400 and counting. And this is the thanks I get as a long time customer.
I left, never did get my beef sandwich because the employee was so rude. Went to mcDonalss instead. Guess I had my last ever beef sandwich here. Was good...
Read moreI usually order from Maybes about once every six weeks or so. The manager (or person who appears to run the place) normally customize an order for me. I was shocked and horrified at my experience today. First when I asked for my order the staff member told me that they do not make this item and I must have never ordered it from somewhere else. I then explained to him that I do order it from Maybes and it has never been an issue. He began screaming at me and was very patronizing when he was speaking to me and kept saying that it was not on the menu and they do not serve it. His behaviour was so strange. He even went over to the till and kept telling me to show him how he should enter it into the till, again in a very patronizing way. There was even a staff member there who had previously made my order (under the guidance of the manager), who denied making it. It was surreal. I was so appalled by this behaviour that I left. Quite shocked and shaken I might add. It is such a shame that rude staff members who do not understand how to keep a customer happy, and would rather be rude and insulting, are the one's left in charge. Needless to say I will never be ordering from them again. I gave my money to Osmows and look forward to the new Mediterranean restaurant that will be opening opposite...

But this guy seems to be friend with a science tam & fauci! I went today at his place and told him that I’m exempt! The guy was screaming get out and didn’t wanted to serve me. Didn’t wanted to hear the reason why and said I am not serving you! While other business allow me When I explain them my condition. He lost a customer.
This business should learn & read better the by-law what it says on bottom about exemption.

what I wrote was nothing about political issue.
As in a past I kept the mask for 1 year and half when I went to a doctor I found out mask was causing me major problems! I came at shawarma maybe on 24 august around this time 12:30- 1:30pm. I told the guy I’m exempt and he try to offer me a mask which he didn’t wanted to listen what I had to say! Than he start screaming I’m not serving you and telling to get out.
You know it’s illegal to deny service to any citizens.
Do you ever hear an organization human rights tribunals ? If I can complain there you are done as a business.
Exempt are essential too! I’am not saying i’am better than others. But at least hear me out what is the reason why I don’t keep the mask...
