Laguna Bay — Restaurant in Toronto

Nice cozy place in the corner of the White Shield Plaza. We came here when it was a different restaurant so we decided to try this one too. I had a Halo halo and my wife had the pan pancit bihon. Taste was a little off for her but it was still good. My mother in law had lapaz batchoy and enjoyed it too. The place is a bit small yet comfortable. Staff is friendly and happy to help you out if you are unfamiliar with pinoy foods ( like I was). Not too busy when we went but some days the parking can be a pain in the ass....

I bought pork kilawin this weekend..23 June 2018 and its so bitter.. I can taste that it's burnt on the grill.. please make sure your food taste is consistent. I have been buying same recipe from this place from day 1. Now this specific recipe tastes terrible for $10 med size is not worth it... Even a can of pop is 2$ now.. which they only pay 30cents ea. From the grocery store actress the street.

Reason why Filipino resto don't last is that the owners get greedy and impose too much retail cost.. then...

Good standard Filipino food. Lots of local Filipinos go there, so it couldn't be so bad. We tried the bitter gourd, dinaguang, and liver sisig (I'm not Filipino, so excuse the spelling). All were good. Combos with 1 or 2 items are available. First visit after getting a friend's recommendation about this place. Will return to try more food and...
