I was walking to the Subway next door in the middle of a snow storm and peered in the window on the way there. Looked like a hole in the wall mom and pop shop so I decided to give it a try. Seemed like they were closing soon as they told me they didn’t have too many options left. I chose to do the “Special combo” with rice and two meats. I chose the pork belly and the chicken skewer. Pork belly was juicy, crispy, and the light char flavour gave it extra depth as well. The chicken skewer had a sweet and sticky marinade that I found quite enjoyable too. Regarding (Sheppard and Brimley location). If you are Canadian Filipino, be prepared to be provoked with anger by the front line staff - particularly the female who works there she is short and in her 30’s maybe. (I will find out her name in a moment). Anyhow, I have the worst experience every time I’m served by her. She will force me to name the dish in Tagalog - only to correct me. She rolls her eyes and is very “SUPLADA” she loves it when you struggle to order, the epitome of bad customer service, rude and disrespectful. Typical filipina clueless phob who needs her work...

This was my first time trying filipino cuisine. The people behind the counter were friendly and welcoming. They were kind enough to explain the dishes and guide me to my decision. I chose the goat caldereta. Let me just tell you this sauce is amazing. The goat was tender and the rice which was simple all worked well together. The veggie lumpia were very good too with an excellent crunch and plenty veggies inside. I will definitely be back.
