Very disappointed with this location. I love Lone Star and will continue going to the Pickering and East Gwillimbury location, but my experience last night here was not good. The free table nachos came 30 min after we arrived, 10 min after our drinks and our appetizer. Our drink was wrong as we had ordered the Thursday deal of nachos and a jug of margarita, and asked for the frozen/blended option but got the ice cube one instead. The nachos were also incredibly cheap. See photos as most the nachos had zero cheese and the ones that did only had a little. There was more lettuce than cheese! We told the server Astro and he apologized but offered nothing else by way of compensation. The fajitas were delicious despite getting way more chicken than beef even though we ordered half and half. It sucks that we paid $50 per person and got such a cheap experience. * EDIT * Even less impressed someone at Lone Star replied to this review saying to contact them to make things right and I've sent them two emails in the past week and have heard absolutely nothing back. * 2nd EDIT * They did get back to me! But apparently "make things right for you" is limited to sharing your feedback with the staff, nothing else. I replied I'd appreciate some sort of compensation for the items that disappointed us, but again no response.

We came here on a Saturday for a late lunch / early dinner and a couple of tables were full; but, by the time we were leaving, not many tables were empty and they have an extensive dinging area. They also have a private dining room on the second floor that you can book for events. The staff are friendly and helpful although the service could be quite faster as it could be tough to attract the staff’s attention. We chose “Dine for Two!” Option which gives you the option of 1 appetizer, 2 mains and 1 dessert (from selected menu) for $59.99 which is a good price. We ordered “Tableside Smashed Guacamole and Chips” for appetizer, “Grilled Chicken Fajitas”, “BBQ Back Ribs; 2/3 Rack” for main and “Churros” for dessert. It was fun to watch the guacamole being prepared and also to be able to choose/remove the ingredients. The food was fresh snd tasty with good portions. Would definitely want to come back!

I was unimpressed by the fact that my fajita platter arrived not sizzling unlike all the other ones that I heard being delivered to the tables around us. also I felt at times that our server was either too busy or disinterested in our table as it took forever to place the order and when we're ready to leave she was nowhere to be seen for over 5 minutes Recently went back with my partner and gave it another try. This time I was quite satisfied with the food but I find the service is still slow and the restaurant was not busy. So if you have the time and are in no big rush I can recommend it just have patience with the server. The food was hot and tasty and my Fajita platter was sizzling this time, they do a good job with this item when it's done correctly. My partner had the steak salad and loved it.

The food is "ok" but the presentation needs a BIG improvement.

This is a bit of a tale of 2 restaurants set up you can either be seated to the right in the restaurant where there is plenty of light and lost of space between tables or if you go on a slow day they will take you to the left where the bar seating is dark and cramped in an only shaped room.

For some reason my family was seated in a dark cramped corner right by the door leading out to the patio on a cold Sunday in January while there were plenty of other tables in much nicer "family with kids" areas of the restaurant. Why start off the experience like this?

Simple things could have made this a whole different review...

The tortia chips was a bowl of about 10 decent triangle chips on top everything under that looked like the crumpled chips in the bottom of the bag. Thanks

The burger tasted alright but when I looked under the bun to see if I needed to add any ketchup well that thing looked nothing like the picture. The competition down the street or around the corner do this presentation so much better than you Lone Star. It should look as good as it tastes its part of the presentation.

So after the kids were done they got a desert as part of the kids meal and again... the popsicles taste good but do they have to come out of the freezer looking like barely frozen limp pickles?

Then the bill comes, and its about 20 dollars more than a similar meal at a similar dinning experience in the same part of town so why should I come back when the competition seats me at a nice spacious booth in a well lit area, the burger looks just like the photo in the menu, and my kids arn't smirked at by other people sitting nearby because they are sucking on some poor old cowboys sad tale bent...

My partner and I recently had the pleasure of dining at Lonestar yesterday for lunch, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that set the tone for the entire evening. We were greeted by the hostess, Oklahoma. Cool names by the way! The ambiance was just perfect – soft lighting, cozy seating, and a delightful background melody that allowed for easy conversation. Our server, Bourbon, was not only attentive but also incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. She guided us through with enthusiasm, making thoughtful recommendations that turned out to be absolute highlights of our meal. We got the taco bowl instead of the enchiladas based on her recommendation! Speaking of the menu, Lonestar is nothing short of exceptional. Both our meals were a masterpiece. From appetizers to desserts, every bite was a burst of delightful flavors that left us wanting more. The service was impeccable, with the staff striking the ideal balance between being attentive and allowing us to enjoy our meal at a relaxed pace. It was evident that the entire team at Lonestar is committed to ensuring their guests have a memorable dining experience. As we concluded our meal with a Christmas tree dessert, we couldn't help but reflect on what a wonderful evening we had. Gambler came by to make sure Lonestar had exceeded our expectations in every aspect, making it a perfect choice for a special date night or any occasion that calls for an exceptional dining experience. If you're looking for a restaurant that seamlessly combines exquisite food, a charming ambiance, and top-notch service, look no further than Lonestar. It's a true gem that we can't wait to...

Attempted to eat at this restaurant tonight while sending off family members on a flight. We entered the restaurant and stood at the hostess station where we were ignored for nearly 10 minutes.

There was one waitress who came to the station but all she did was aggressively type into the machine there, glowering angrily the whole time, while openly ignoring us (we were in her direct eyeline directly in front of her, so it would have been impossible for her not to see us). After that she walked away without bothering to even acknowledge our existence. Classy.

After standing around another few minutes while we openly marvelled at that staff member's staggering lack manners and how a lot of the staff were all standing around chatting with each other, a hostess eventually came over and seated us.

We were then ignored for a further 15 minutes. As our family members were going to have to check into their flight in another 50 minutes and we had been there for over 20 minutes with zero service as it was, I asked one of the staff if someone could come help us. They said they'd grab someone and disappeared. 10 minutes later we left.

On the upside we went up the street to the Arizona Grill Lounge where we were warmly greeted and seated immediately, and were given exceptional service by Nikki, who anticipated our every need and went above and beyond. Also the burgers and nachos there are fantastic and better priced.

My recommendation - go to the Arizona Grill Lounge a mere 1 minute drive away and actually get good service and excellent food. You may even have the small benefit of being treated to basic human decency to boot!

This was collectively our first, and will be collectively our last Lone...
