The food is "ok" but the presentation needs a BIG improvement.
This is a bit of a tale of 2 restaurants set up you can either be seated to the right in the restaurant where there is plenty of light and lost of space between tables or if you go on a slow day they will take you to the left where the bar seating is dark and cramped in an only shaped room.
For some reason my family was seated in a dark cramped corner right by the door leading out to the patio on a cold Sunday in January while there were plenty of other tables in much nicer "family with kids" areas of the restaurant. Why start off the experience like this?
Simple things could have made this a whole different review...
The tortia chips was a bowl of about 10 decent triangle chips on top everything under that looked like the crumpled chips in the bottom of the bag. Thanks
The burger tasted alright but when I looked under the bun to see if I needed to add any ketchup well that thing looked nothing like the picture. The competition down the street or around the corner do this presentation so much better than you Lone Star. It should look as good as it tastes its part of the presentation.
So after the kids were done they got a desert as part of the kids meal and again... the popsicles taste good but do they have to come out of the freezer looking like barely frozen limp pickles?
Then the bill comes, and its about 20 dollars more than a similar meal at a similar dinning experience in the same part of town so why should I come back when the competition seats me at a nice spacious booth in a well lit area, the burger looks just like the photo in the menu, and my kids arn't smirked at by other people sitting nearby because they are sucking on some poor old cowboys sad tale bent...
Read moreMy partner and I recently had the pleasure of dining at Lonestar yesterday for lunch, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that set the tone for the entire evening. We were greeted by the hostess, Oklahoma. Cool names by the way! The ambiance was just perfect – soft lighting, cozy seating, and a delightful background melody that allowed for easy conversation. Our server, Bourbon, was not only attentive but also incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. She guided us through with enthusiasm, making thoughtful recommendations that turned out to be absolute highlights of our meal. We got the taco bowl instead of the enchiladas based on her recommendation! Speaking of the menu, Lonestar is nothing short of exceptional. Both our meals were a masterpiece. From appetizers to desserts, every bite was a burst of delightful flavors that left us wanting more. The service was impeccable, with the staff striking the ideal balance between being attentive and allowing us to enjoy our meal at a relaxed pace. It was evident that the entire team at Lonestar is committed to ensuring their guests have a memorable dining experience. As we concluded our meal with a Christmas tree dessert, we couldn't help but reflect on what a wonderful evening we had. Gambler came by to make sure Lonestar had exceeded our expectations in every aspect, making it a perfect choice for a special date night or any occasion that calls for an exceptional dining experience. If you're looking for a restaurant that seamlessly combines exquisite food, a charming ambiance, and top-notch service, look no further than Lonestar. It's a true gem that we can't wait to...
Read moreAttempted to eat at this restaurant tonight while sending off family members on a flight. We entered the restaurant and stood at the hostess station where we were ignored for nearly 10 minutes.
There was one waitress who came to the station but all she did was aggressively type into the machine there, glowering angrily the whole time, while openly ignoring us (we were in her direct eyeline directly in front of her, so it would have been impossible for her not to see us). After that she walked away without bothering to even acknowledge our existence. Classy.
After standing around another few minutes while we openly marvelled at that staff member's staggering lack manners and how a lot of the staff were all standing around chatting with each other, a hostess eventually came over and seated us.
We were then ignored for a further 15 minutes. As our family members were going to have to check into their flight in another 50 minutes and we had been there for over 20 minutes with zero service as it was, I asked one of the staff if someone could come help us. They said they'd grab someone and disappeared. 10 minutes later we left.
On the upside we went up the street to the Arizona Grill Lounge where we were warmly greeted and seated immediately, and were given exceptional service by Nikki, who anticipated our every need and went above and beyond. Also the burgers and nachos there are fantastic and better priced.
My recommendation - go to the Arizona Grill Lounge a mere 1 minute drive away and actually get good service and excellent food. You may even have the small benefit of being treated to basic human decency to boot!
This was collectively our first, and will be collectively our last Lone...
