Macedo Winery — Restaurant in Toronto

I've been a customer of Macedo's for 3 or 4 years now. The wife and I buy Red, White and Ice wine there. This place has a great selection of different wines at very affordable prices. They provide bottling and labelling services as well.

The most impressive thing for me is their quality control. They absolutely deliver consistent results and this must be due to their experience and their facilities. One quick look in the back and one can see the modern vats where they ferment the wine. I'm quite sure that every aspect is controlled: the humidity, the temperature, etc. This would explain their consistency.

They also have a wine show room with their brand "Evolution Wines by Macedo Winery". The selection there is amazing but it is also more of a premium product.

I've been singing their praises for a few years now and they deserve it.

Oh, I almost forgot: their customer service there is second to none. The two young ladies that work there are so pleasant, helpful and always with a smile.

This one star review is solely reflective of the fact that today I witnessed two male employees in the back room, where the wine tanks are, not wearing masks, nor social distancing. I watched them for 15 minutes while they talked, walked around and touched multiple surfaces. Aside from the fact this is currently illegal it's just irresponsible and completely unforgivable. Wouldn't want to support a business that can't do the bare minimum in keeping...

We tried a cocktail and each had a flight of wine. Fernao Peres is easy drinking and light. Try the Sweet Rose and Orange wine for something different.
