I’m honestly pretty disappointed… I read such amazing things about this place just to have all expectations let down. The pizza was extremely over cooked to the point where it was almost inedible. The Asian girl at the door was very sweet and that the only reason for the second star. I’ve tried all the “hyped” pizza spots in Toronto and honestly this one should not be on the list. I hate posting bad reviews because I understand the struggles of building and maintaining a reputation but this really needed to be said. It was $56 for two medium pizzas and two dips! That absolutely ridiculous for what we got. When I tried to fold the pizza it literally snapped it was so over cooked. I think if you guys want to keep your good reputation you’re going to need to stop trying to pump out fast pizzas and focus back on quality. If the pizza is Burnt toss it tf out and make a new one. For the price we’re paying the least we should get is a properly cooked pie. Very disappointing, I drove over an hour for this.

Nothing but respect for North of Brooklyn Pizzeria. Front-of-house staff slung some of the best microbreweries from T.O. at the wood. Some of your best restaurant experiences will occur at the bar. Behind a wall, through a doorway, the kitchen crew tossed, sauced and dressed pies with generous amounts of pepperoni, kale, cheese, truffle, arugula and more. We sat admiring the 'hall' vibe while pinball wizards rang bells above. The former-cook in me kept an appreciative eye on the kitchen. Huge respect for our real grinders in the business. The hardworking and focused kitchen crew. Spend time working with teams, and you'll see how the good ones like NoBP operate. Non-stop, their team tossed and made pizza in stealth mode. That team deserves a lot of respect. I didn't see them stop once. Our share of pizza and garlic knots were plentiful and delicious. Visit North of Brooklyn Pizzeria. In the summer the neighbourhood is lit!

North of Brooklyn Pizzeria just raised the bar for pizza in Toronto. The Vodka Verde was a showstopper the moment it hit the table a gorgeous swirl of bright green pesto over a rich, velvety vodka sauce with perfectly blistered mozzarella bubbling underneath. The crust was thin, airy, and slightly charred, giving each bite the perfect balance of crunch and chew. Flavour wise, it is a masterclass: the creamy, tangy vodka sauce melts into the nutty, herb packed pesto, while the cheese ties everything together. Paired with their Truffle Shuffle (a decadent mix of earthy mushrooms, truffle aroma, and mozzarella), it made for one of the most satisfying pizza nights I have had in the city. Fast, friendly service and a relaxed but modern vibe seal the deal. This is the kind of pizza that makes you want to come back before you have even finished your last slice.

Oct. 5, 2025...update...OMG 🤬. Once again this place arbitrarily cancels our oder but cheerfully charges us and expects me to accept waiting for that to be refunded 3 days later! Nutty way to run a business. I chose the option to be contacted if there is a problem with the order....I DID NOT choose to have my fricking order cancelled EVERYTIME. Why do I keep trying? That's on me. Another irritating fail at this place. 0 stars for the food since I have NO idea how it tastes lately. March 13, 2024 update...okay the take-out pizza may occasionally be cancelled, but the absolutely stellar response from head office (presumably) has been lovely! Really appreciated the personal response and explanation. Good pizza is one thing, good people are another. North of Brooklyn has both. (And yes, the service stars went from 1⭐ to 4⭐⭐⭐⭐ thanks to K*'s response.... Happy to boost it to 5 the next time unsuccessfully get a takeout pizza!)

March 8, 2024 update...cancel culture at the Geary Avenue North of Brooklyn strikes again. Sigh. Order accepted. Order confirmed. Order cancelled. I was foolish to try again on a Friday. 2023 - Have gone here for years (Covid excepted) & done takeout pizza. Lovely atmosphere and aside from a long wait for food it's solid. But don't bother with takeout! They'll charge your credit card and then send an email cancelling your order! Has happened 3x recently. Last time we didn't see the email - because who constantly checks email on a Friday night?! I waited 25minutes in line only to be told it was probably cancelled because they couldn't get it done on time!! Other than that suggestion the staff wad obviously overwhelmed and not in a position to care about my cancelled order. VERY irritating that they've still charged us!! Aside from this feeling a bit like a reverse restaurant robbery...how about having systems in place where a) you don't charge a customer until you've provided the product, and b) you have a separate line for pizza pickup so I don't have to wait 25 minutes to be told my order has been cancelled. Eat in. Do NOT takeout. Also need...

Located in a non-descript corner in the middle of quaint Davenport neighbourhood, this place was an oasis that I randomly discovered on a quiet Sunday afternoon. Our group of 8 family and friends were hungry and we were in the mood for pizza. We likely would not have even ventured in if it were not for passing a couple carrying a small stack of pizza boxes coming out of the place while we were standing outside deciding to go in or not. Glad we did. The pizza order desk is inside and shares the space with the Greater Good pub. Their pizzas are the thin crust type and they have some interesting toppings to choose from as well as their own combination favorites. GREAT pizza, crisp and flavourful. We had the Kale & Bacon and Puttanesca. We just had pop from the Greater Good bar, but we were impressed with the craft beer selection they had cleverly listed on large menu boards above the bar. Friendly service and nice relaxed atmosphere. No intrusive background music which I appreciated. Bonus is that while waiting for your order, you can kill time in the arcade that they have upstairs...retro arcade games, pinball, foosball and skeeball! Awesome place to come chill out and satisfy the munchies. I will definitely look for this place the next time...

I recently had an unfortunate experience with North of Brooklyn Pizzeria that left me quite disappointed. I placed an order for a dinner for two, along with a special Meati Pie pizza. However, upon delivery, I was informed that they didn't have the Meati Pie pizza available. This was disappointing, as I was looking forward to trying that specific pizza.

To resolve the issue, I had to reorder my second pizza, and to my surprise, I was charged double for the delivery of the second pizza. This unexpected additional cost was frustrating and felt unfair, considering it was due to their inability to provide the pizza I initially ordered.

To add to my disappointment, when the revised order arrived, they had forgotten to include the Garlic Knots with my Dinner for two. This oversight was frustrating, as it was a part of the original order that I was eagerly anticipating.

Overall, my experience with North of Brooklyn Pizzeria was disappointing. The unavailability of the Meati Pie pizza, the additional delivery charge, and the missing Garlic Knots from my order all contributed to a negative dining experience. I hope the pizzeria takes these issues seriously and improves their service to avoid such disappointments for their customers...
