McDonald's — Restaurant in Toronto

When I first moved to the area back in 2005, I went here to just pick up a small fries and drink. The staffs were beyond ghetto. Only returned back a couple years later, and still nothing has changed.

Fast forward today (July/27/2019) when I just wanted to go pop in for their $1.00 summer drink special, I've seen NOTHING has changed, other than the renovated dining area (it looked very nice) had a nice comfortable restaurant type of look.

The cashier was so cringy when she was trying to flirt with the guy trying to place his order, his facial expression loudly screamed "B*tCh let me just place my order". The man had no smile on his face while the cashier was flirting with him. She was very unprofessional. The customer before him, she kept asking her "would that be everything?".....then she states "It's my job to ensure I keep asking you that question"............"I got all day". I guess the customer was taking long to make up their mind on what to order, because the automated menu kept changing.

The bathrooms are STILL GROSS, a customer complained to a worker saying she nearly threw up as she walked in the washroom. Thankfully I didn't have to use the washroom.

We ordered food using the McDonald's smart phone app and paid using the app. Arrived and entered into the app that we would pick up the food in the drive through. The app issued us a pick up code and charged our credit card. Going through the drive through I verbally gave the McDonald's emplyee on the speaker the code and was told to drive to the window. When we arrived at the pick up window we were surprised that the McDonald's employee asked for us to pay again. I showed her the app indicating the food was paid for, I showed her my online bank account showing it was paid for, and I showed her the online receipt we received by email from McDonald's indicating that the order was paid for. She had to call her manager when said I would not pay again. I showed the manager everything I had shown the employee and told the manager I will not pay twice for the same order. It took a while but the manager finally gave us our paid for food. I haven't visited this location for a long time now due to poor customer service so I decided to give them another chance. I've never had experience this bad at McDonald's. I generally get decent, if not great service everywhere else but here. First off, the reception in this place is horrible. I understand that this place can get busy at times, but that's all the more reason to strategize and make the place, at the least, comfortable for patrons to eat in. Eat-in area is filthy. Counter area staff were arguing who should be doing which order. One crew even said "I'm not doing that", referring to a big order, which was actually mine. The manager who put together my order was also rude. I nicely asked for a bigger bag, she got one for me, but instead of handing it to me, she put the bag on top of my order, and quickly moved on to the next customer. Upon bringing the food to my place, I also realized that the drinks were not properly labeled so we didn't know which one was which. The mcgriddle buns were hard, as well as the pancakes, which made me think they sat in the warmers for way too long. I was hopeful this experience would get better as we go through our food, but it just kept getting worse.
