The woman named Dipika IS the rudest and most ignorant and disrespectful worker that I have ever met, particularly in McDonald's. She thinks that everyone is at her moral level and she also has no common sense at all. She has no logic and is full of nonsense. She needs to use her brain when talking instead of insulting a customer when she is at fault.
Me and my little child went to this location around 3:15pm, Aug 18, 2025. We sat by the window on the south side, the third seat from the playground. As my child likes the playground, we stayed a bit longer. About 5:20pm, we went to the washroom for less than 5 minutes, but when we came back, everything on the table was gone including my happy meal toy and two nuggets, even though I left my shopping bag and hat on the seat to show that I would come back.
About 5:25 pm, I went to the front desk and told Dipika about what just happened. I also asked her to come to my seat to show that my stuff were left on the seat while we were in the washroom, so how some staff still dumped my food? However, she acted very rude and suspicious towards me and asked for my receipt; meanwhile, she took out two kids meal boxes from the garbage bin and kept yelling at me with an accusing tone, "there is nothing in the boxes, where are the two nuggets you talked about"? I was shocked as how I was supposed to know? She didn't know that there's no need to put the nuggets back into the big box then dump them, especially for recycling purpose, let alone she couldn't prove either of the two boxes was mine. She gave me less than 2 minutes then she left to the counter. She acted very rude and disrespectful the whole time. She thought that I wanted to trick her for two free nuggets.
I followed her to the counter as I wanted a reason. She started to ignore me. I told her not to speculate about a customer like that. Funny enough, she yelled at me with her nonsense again ,"you should be responsible for your own food". Yeah right, it sounded right, but it was your staff who dumped my unfinished food, and you asked me to be responsible for it while I was away for washroom for less than 5 minutes? So I should bring my food to the washroom regarding her logic? She kept ignoring me but then she told me she had to check the footage (to find out if I was honest). What a woman! At this point, She still thought I was lying to her just for 2 free nuggets, assuming that I would back off after hearing she would check the footage. I told her to go right ahead and check.
I told her that I bought the food at 3:15pm (from my credit card app), She didn't even let me finish and told a staff to check from this time. I told her we went to the washroom about 5:20pm, then she told the staff to check from 5:20 pm, even tough I reported this issue to her around 5:25pm. She was senseless and ignorant. A few minutes later she threw me a box but I didn't even take it as my purpose was not for food, and I just wanted to know the footage result to prove she was wrong. I asked her about the footage result, she couldn't answer. I doubt if anybody checked the footage, and it was just her trick to "scare" me off.
A person like her should NOT be working at this position! There are other details to show how nonsense, rude and unprofessional she is. I won't come back to this location again if she is still working there. No one deserves to be treated the way I was by her. (BTW, she forgot to give me a straw at the beginning, and there was no straw at the beverage station. Also, I heard another lady complained about her. She told me that Dipika was very rude to her while she was pregnant. She said she complained about...
Read moreThey don't fill up medium fries or side salads to full, you have to ask for napkins, very cheap management. Edit 2021: This place has gotten worse year over year. I have been going to this location for well over a decade. It used to be packed with elderly people and students from Albert Campbell CI. Since 2018, the crowd slowly dissipated as the management gotten cheaper and both the quantity and quality of the food has diminished. When you mobile app order 5 ketchup packets with your fries, they only give you 2. They sometimes serve cold soggy fries that have been left out for well over the 7 minutes stated in the freshness policy. The oil in the deep fryer does not get changed often enough and you can definitely taste the difference compared to other locations. Sometimes, the apple pies will be one to two hours past the use by time. When you order a cone in a cup, they will only give you the soft serve in the cup, and not include the cone portion. Other locations will give you the cone on top. On occasion, when you order and pay for a double cheeseburger, they will charge you the full amount and give you a regular cheeseburger. Drive thru ordering just one burger will have the staff send you half a lap around the restaurant and have you wait in a undesignated parking spot. Before, only larger orders will have to wait at the third window adjacent to the PlayPlace. Over time, customers have been sent straight to the reserved curbside pickup spots. Now even if there isn't anyone in the drive thru line you have to go and wait at the back entrance. Inconvenient, confusing, and slow. Staff will bring 3 to 4 people's orders outside simultaneously once every few minutes. On multiple occasions, the beef patty associated with McDoubles and Big Macs have a foul odor. The stench can only be accurately described as a beef patty, cooked in boiling water, left out to dry, packaged in cardboard, marinated in sewage, buried in a graveyard, washed in a toilet, and then dried on the kitchen floor. One time the smell was so unbelievable, I immediately went to another McDonalds and ordered the exact same burger, took them both home and smelled them side by side. One patty smelled just as it should, fresh, while the other reeked so bad, I bet a dog wouldn't touch it. One tasted like a beef patty and the other had next to no flavour and the texture of a chewed pink bubblegum, with a slight hint of cardboard and feces. I always smell my beef patties from that point on before eating, and never had this problem in any other locations. I am shocked that this restaurant passed Toronto Public Health's food safety audit for this reason alone. The moral of the story is, do not go to this McDonalds unless it is absolutely necessary and you cannot go to any other location. It is well worth the extra drive or delivery fee to order from a further location. The management has been purposely selling left overs and milking every cent out of the customers. Order at...
Read moreThis location of McDonald's at Woodside Square is such a huge disappointment. My family and I just moved to the McCowan and Finch area from the Steeles and Jane area. Since our new fridge was empty and we were going out to dine with other family members at a restaurant the next day, we thought we would celebrate our first night at our new home with comfort food we have grown to love, McDonald's. We found our way to Woodside and or Drive-Through. "1 McChicken Meal, extra mayo, 1 Big Mac Meal, extra sauce in sandwich, 1 Double Filet O Fish Meal, extra tartar sauce, 1 McDouble sandwich, 20 pack of McNuggets with Mustard dipping sauce and 3 Cheeseburger Happy Meals ordered at 7:48 pm on Wednesday, May 1. After returning home, we discovered the sauce for McNuggets was missing. Our family does not eat chicken nuggets without dipping sauce. Our family has enjoyed chicken nuggets for decades with dipping sauces. It is a comfoet food thing as much as it is a flavour and moisture thing. I called the location to inform them of the error, instead of getting all the kids dressed again and loading everyone in the car and driving all the way back to McDonald's and home again and killing even more money on already expensive gas and wasting even more time. After explaining to 2 different people my increasingly sad situation, the manager on duty at the time offered me a 10 pack of McNuggets next time to replace my 20 pack of McNuggets that I was unable to enjoy with my family that evening. This incident has left me with a sour taste and an increasingly sad feeling of growing disappointment, as I do not want to double-check every order and thing I purchase from every single company I give business/revenue to. I don't have to double check my groceries to ensure they are all there. I don't have to double check my furniture and appliances to ensure the deliveries all have them upon delivery. I don't have to check to see if my oil was changed after I pay for oil change. I don't have to double check to see if gas is in my tank after I pay for fuel. I don't have to check to see if Amazon delivered my order, after I place it in the system. Why do I have to check my meal order, when 2 to 3 other people who pack my order before handing it over to me should have checked it? Why should I do work for something that I paid good money to have someone else do for me? I work full time and manage a family 5. I have enough to do without having to do the job of others'. Missing my old location so...
