I totally agree with some of these reviews. I’ve been in the restaurant and the service was pretty decent. However, I’ve order from this place more than 20 times.

Most of my orders were okay. I love their fried snapper and most of my order is 2 of those fish, dumplings, festival, plantain etc.

As some reviewers mentioned. I’ve ordered because and it seems like they didn’t have enough meat so they just give you a whole lot of gravy. Ridiculous. I really hope they brush up on the service. But they lost a loyal customer. Because I ordered a lot from them.

I’ve had this restaurant made substitutions without even asking. Like who does that? What if I’m allergic.

One time I orders some tamarind balls and omg a few was opened and it had gravy in them.

First off the food this hit and miss. I literally cancelled the deliver service because of this place.

I placed an order because it shows that the restaurant was taking order. Only for them to cancel it 10 mins later.

I then had the worst customer service with the delivery app.

I wish I had saved the photos. But I really hope they use these reviews to improve on their service.

I’ve tried this place just once on a whim after going to the gym and the reviews to me intrigued me. Sadly it did not live up to the hype but maybe it was catered to a more niche audience that enjoys it.

But from a neutral pov, the food was more on the dry side, the portions wasn’t as generous for being a local shop rather than a franchise, the customer service was definitely not the greatest as she looked fed up / tired of it (Wasn’t inviting / friendly).

The place itself didn’t look the cleanest as well but regardless, not a place you want to sit and eat as the environment wasn’t created for so. I love myself some jerk chicken with rice and peas but this was a poor representation of the heritage as it really had no seasoning and was more bland, even when I asked for extra gravy, it was still tasteless.

I gave this a 2 star because it can be improved but for me, that’s the highest I can give it for now. It has no social media presence and wasn’t busy in terms of traffic so I know they only get a few regulars rather than...

I can't help but share this place with any family, friend or co-worker who is in the area. The food is so fresh and tasty without being over-salted. The prices are quite reasonable compared to other resaturants. But the thing I love most about Montego is the service and the staff. A West Indian restaurant with genuinely polite, customer-oriented staff? Didn't know that existed before Montego!
