It was a super chill day when everything went very smoothly. And this restaurant was one of the highlights of the day.
The portion in Pho Con Bo is small though, for a regular person. I eat like a bird so I didn’t finish anything I ordered. I was very excited that day because this restaurant had everything I wanted. The price is good. I actually enjoyed the food ❤️ they were pretty generous with the sauce too. There were plenty of them. Even after I reheated again later at home, the food still tasted amazing. Customer service is excellent. Staff were very polite & attentive. There was an incident in the end. I was in the washroom and as I walked out, my washroom door felt on the side 🤣 I was in shock. One of the staff was in the washroom with me; she was on the next room. I told the receptionists and at first no one comprehended. Until they got it, their first question was are you okay 😉🫢 It’s no big deal. I found it funny. Anyway I really liked this restaurant. The whole plaza which includes this restaurant gave me the feels - nostalgia 😉 I used to work in a restaurant like this when I just came to Canada. I worked for it and I bought food to...
Read moreUnfortunately this is one of the worst Vietnamese restaurant I have ordered from. Already had food at home so I ordered 4 fried spring rolls and 2 sugar cane shrimp sticks to go as extra for our dinner. They both came out horrible and costed me $18.
Both are super crazy dried and obviously over fried, looked like they were made the week before. Especially the sugar can shrimp sticks were such a disappointment, they were so small and wrinkly as it could possibly be due to overfrying.
Needless to say I am super disappointed and will not come back ever. the fish sauce tasted weirdly oily. They could have added chili oil to it but why tho? If they have added chilli oil I would expect more chilly flake in the sauce. But no, the sauce was just orange and tasted oily.
I have never written a google review before but this was so sad...
Read moreFood still taste good but the portion was cut off significantly. We did not feel the respect from your staff in the last visit. The staff should be trained properly in how he greets his customers in a polite manner, should not just says out loud from the counter 'Mấy người?' when he notices the customers step in. He should be respectful to guide the customer to their tables instead of pointing his fingers to the air and commanding the customers to find their seats even your restaurant is going through a slump. He should at least learn how to say 'thank you' in English from any Canadians if he, a Vietnamese born, doesn't know how to say 'Cám ơn' while working in a Vietnamese restaurant. Please train him properly to maintain your good image of Pho Con Bo as we used to...
