Once I discovered this place a couple months back, I've been here at least 20 times so far, often buying 2 or more drinks at a time. It is the best bubble tea shop in the area, and very convinient as it is between my home and work. I will explain in detail the good and bad of this shop:
-Drinks. Great variety of drinks, from tea, to smoothies, along with toppings! I am someone who prefers real fruit drinks as well, so I love 'Real Fruit Bubble Tea' and 'Presotea'. In the past, I would hop on the 36 and go all the way to Yonge for bubble tea, but the shops around (Chatime, Cocos, and Goncha) only specialized in actual tea drinks [and now, it takes me 2 buses to get there, so I've gotten lazy]. I do love Milk Teas as well, but now and then, slushies and real fruit are great! However, those shops only use syrups and powders, and I don't think it is worth the $5 price tag, so I would only buy fruit slushies from places that actually use real fruit....Thankfully, this place has both! Fresh Tea, and Real Fruit Slushies! -Special Drinks. I wouldn't really recommend some of the special drinks I tried. The 'Sprite Milk Tea'...is literally coloured sprite...watered down because of the ice. They have a series with actually fruits in the tea, you can't really taste the difference, but at least the fruit is fresh and edible! You don't really have the option of blending fruits for slushies...which would have been awesome! I would consider Raspberry, but not on its own as the taste is unpredictable for example, or it may not have much flavor. But at least there are options! -Location. This area isn't known to have many bubble tea shops. The first to open is Kin Kin in Jane/Finch Mall, but it is such a big detour from the bus stop, and their bubble tea isn't that great. Slushies are never blended nice, sometimes its just watery/icy, they use covers, so you have to be really careful when transporting it, and the store doesn't really have a 'clean feeling', despite also selling bakery goods and food. So Noon Moment is a big step up when it comes to professionalism and drinks! Gong Cha recently opened a branch near York University, but it is quite out of the way. -Time. Compared to a couple months ago, they have sped up grately! Before, it would take me at least 5 minutes just to give my order (even if the line wasn't that big), and another 10 minutes to actually get my drink. Understandable, since it's a new shop, and perhaps people are still learning, but it was certainly a longer wait than other places I've been to. Now, I can order and get my drink in under 10 minutes, so I still consider that an improvement. -Staff. The staff is generally friendly. I think they all just need a little bit more time and training as they can seem a bit franctic and unorganized. Often, although it's my turn to order, I am asked to wait for a couple minutes as they do something else. It would make more sense to take down all the orders of people currently in the line, and help out when there's a bit of a break, but I also understand wanting to catch up. -Cleanliness. The store is generally clean. Feels clean despite the age of the plaza as a whole. Most would be a wrapper left around, but you can only respond to that so quickly when it's busy, so I won't blame them. -Price. Price is average compared to most trending bubble tea stores. It may seem cheap at first, ie $4.49, but that's for a small, without any toppings, and before tax, so just a warning! It can become pricey quick, but I still consider it average.
Only one had kinda meh incident. I came in on my birthday (June 1), & noticed a new sign that said free birthday drink with ID....I wasn't prepared. I usually have my Ontario ID on me, but I went to Japan just the week before, and forgot to put my ID back in my regular wallet. I tried showing a copy of my passport but they said no. I went all the way back home and back. The girl who attended me then was sweet though!
Anyways, I'll come back! Great location,...
Read moreI ordered a large honeydew milk tea green tea with less ice and regular sugar that is worth $5.95 after tax. The wait was not worth the powdered chunk drink I had. It took the workers 17 minutes to get my simple drink ready. I wasnt the only one waiting though, 2 customers who ordered ahead of me never got their drinks but instead, 3 people that order after me and the others got their order and they would order 1-2 drinks. Either their priorities aren't in check or they just cant tell their highs and lows of numbers. Order #235 went first, then #232, followed by #238. I was order #236 and never got called until me and the other 2 customers went up to the guy looking at the drinks as if he's not paying attention. When I got my bubble tea it was warm and the ice was already melting, diluting my drink. The drink was never shook before served and my drink was warm like it's been sitting there for more than 10 minutes.
I would like to compare the time it takes to make bubble tea, especially with the amount of customers. Chatime near Vaughan mills is always packed with people and line up that fill all the way to their bathrooms, per order it takes them 3-5 minutes, again, PER ORDER. Noon Moment, they only had less than 8 people in a line and they cant even serve the right people on time and make the ones who have ordered beforehand wait MUCH longer somehow. This place has a bigger space for making food and serving customers yet cant organize and serve right.
I dont recommend this place. I'm paying $5.95 for a large honeydew milk with green tea and tapioca(which tasted so wrong), and you can still see all the tiny chunks from the powder from not being mixed or perhaps dumped too much powder (and I got a stomachache from that thank you very much). So thanks for the chunky powdered honeydew that tastes like "168 tea shop", but worse. I hope no one gets honeydew...

Noon Moment at Finch is a great spot for fresh smoothies and bubble teas. I visit regularly for my smoothie fix, especially on busy weekdays when I need a quick refreshment. The variety they offer is impressive, and the quality is consistently high.
My go-to choices are the mango smoothie, avocado smoothie, durian smoothie, and coconut smoothie. Each one is incredibly refreshing and delicious. The mango smoothie has the perfect balance of sweetness and tang, while the avocado smoothie is creamy and satisfying without being too heavy. The durian smoothie, though not for everyone, is a unique and exotic treat that I absolutely love. Lastly, the coconut smoothie is a tropical delight that's both smooth and refreshing.
The service here is commendable. The staff are always quick to take orders and prepare drinks, even during peak hours. Their attention to detail is noticeable, ensuring that each smoothie is made just right. On one occasion, I had a minor issue with my order, but the staff handled it promptly and courteously, which I really appreciated.
I usually visit Noon Moment whenever I'm in the area and looking for a quick and tasty pick-me-up. My expectations are always met, and I leave satisfied. While my experiences have been largely positive, itâs worth mentioning that the shop can get quite busy, which sometimes leads to longer wait times. However, the quality of the smoothies makes the wait worthwhile.
Overall, Noon Moment (Finch) offers a fantastic range of smoothies and bubble teas, with my favourites being the mango, avocado, durian, and coconut smoothies. The service is friendly and efficient, making it a pleasant place to visit. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a refreshing drink in the...
