I’m not one to write a review often as I don’t like to ridicule a place for one bad experience. However, my first experience today was quite a mess. First thing to note is that the day I ordered was the shawarma day promotion which I will account does cause a lot of mayhem. I decided to do an order through the app and it said my food would be done in an hour which I said was fine. After that, things got complicated when I arrived 2 minutes early to pick up, the counter was bombarded with uber drivers and bags of food waiting to be picked up. I decided to wait for it to clear up to go and ask if my order was ready in which I provided the name for the order and showed the mobile app confirmation and I was told “we will make it”. So I thought I just had to wait a little longer than the pickup time, not a problem. It was very clear that they were under a lot of pressure so I didn’t want to cause confusion so I waited, but after 30 minutes on top of the 1 hour pick up time I was starting to get a little disappointed. I will say part of the blame is on the mobile app as the order status never updates unless the app is restarted. However, when I asked again they said my order was completed in the system, but I never got my food and was patiently waiting in the same spot for 20 more minutes thinking they were still making it. The employee I asked at first ended up accusing me of already having my food as she said she recognized my face and thought I was waiting to try and steal another order which makes no sense, why would I be such a low life to waste more than an hour of my life in a hectic restaurant to try and steal $25 worth of rice and chicken? I tried to explain I never received my food and I was waiting the whole time. They also were checking everyone’s phones to see if they grabbed the correct order so either my food was stolen, given to the wrong person or vanished. I kept my composure not trying to stress out the employees any further given their current situation and asked what I needed to do. They ended up just remaking my order quickly which I expressed my appreciation and apologized for any sort of confusions despite it being out of my control. In conclusion, I want to note that I do not claim this place is terrible and you should never come. Half of the blame is on the app which I know is not the restaurants fault. Read moreAt 12:23 after midnight, I entered this location greeted by a female cashier. I asked what was available she said only chicken which is fine considering it’s 37 mins until closing according to signage. When female cashier who later claimed to be the manger was dressing my sandwich she dropped a sauce bottle on the floor picked it up with the same gloves that was used to roll my sandwich, I said nothing but. May I have more lettuce, manager responded I already put it, I then responded some more please that’s what I’m asking for it will not go to waste. Or a refund will be fine. I received my sandwich and soda and decided to eat at the restaurant which the manager promptly said,”we’re closed for dine-in” I then said “ the window says 1am… and they’re no signs indicating your closed for the night. I’ve worked in fast food for 8years as an assistant manager and you should know better if you really are a manager” not once did this manager say sorry or provide a reason why dine-in was closed. 2 mins later a gentleman employee came to the front area because he was preparing to mop up for closing started speaking they’re native tongue soon after said,” excuse me we’re closed” as a delivery driver entered directing his comment to me. I said,” no your not not according to your signage, your better off calling the police, I’m minding my business trying to eat. As a matter of fact please provide an email or phone number, including your names so I can complain.” The gentleman responded we don’t have to provide you nothing.” I said, “that’s fine. How do I make a complaint” he said call head office. “I then asked for a receipt to hopefully get some information. He then said, “ you ordered only 2 items and want to dine-in. I responded, “yes, this area isn’t safe” I proceeded to eat and requested my LYFT. I did not leave a mess, even wiped the table and brought my garbage to the bin, after all of that back and forth. I let the manager know “my ride has arrived I’ll be leaving” she said, “ goodnight. “ I am sure this is not apart of Osmows policy, and not the way they were trained for any customer service/management position at osmows. To add they were speaking their native language which was not English or French. 1979 Weston rd location should consider retraining said staff. I do not get treated this way at Toronto Pearson Airport location which I work and order from all the time. I’ll be looking forward to a response. She’s touching the tablet she goes and helps a customer handles cash and comes back to prepare my food touched my sandwich put it in a bag!!!!!
Months pass by; I haven’t bought from osmoses. then one day I’m coming back from work, everything else is closed I had to buy from there I was hungry… I wish I recorded it cuz if I had the whole restaurant would be shut down.. these Indian people have no sanitation in their country they don’t know basic manners.. SO, she picks the rice with a spoon then its time for fries, you’d think she’d use utensils or gloves for this but Ohhhh no she grabbed the fries with her hand and into the plate lol… And when I said what are you doing she argues with me saying her hands are clean.. how is it clean she touched everything in that place !! I was out of words.
. am I wrong ? Would you eat food someone touches with their hands be real.. I’m not saying this cuz they are Indians I’m saying it cuz this is disquieting…
these employees need training on how to handle food properly.. you’re supposed to change your gloves if you touch something else before handling food that’s a basic thing you should know
