Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in Toronto

Pizza tasted mediocre in comparison to competitors (Pizza Hut, Little Caesars, Domino's, Pizza Pizza).

Compared to Pizza Hut's Hawaiian, this one tasted more like cracker/cardboard due to the pizza being stiff, and dry with not even a hint of it being soft.

Another issue with the pie was its toppings. There was your standard tomato sauce and cheese on the base, but it felt like pizzaiolo (pizza chef/maker) cheaped out on pineapple pieces because the amount of it on the pie was little, which also applies to the bacon.

Another thing I didn't like was dipping sauces or in particular blue cheese and garlic (BBQ was good, no issues there).

When I opened blue cheese, what I assumed to be "cheese" part of the sauce in the middle was surrounded with liquid butter, and dipping pizza in it didn't bring much additional flavour.

Garlic dipping sauce didn't even taste like garlic sauce in any other places (again, compared to competitors), it literally tasted like store butter.

Out of the whole 38-dollar (subtotal, excluding taxes and service fees) order I only liked Chicken Poppers, BBQ sauce and drinks, that's literally it, really disappointing experience from a name like "Papa John's"

I never expected this experience, it was the worse. The worse pizza I’ve ever tasted. I ordered pepperoni and bacon crumbles and the bacon was so hard I thought I was eating a rock or something. I had delivery and by the time the food got to me it was cold. I called and GESY answer the call. She had me send pictures of the pizza and everything and said it will take 20 minutes for another pizza I said great. She calls back and tells me she can save this order for tomorrow if I want I said I prefer it now that’s why I ordered she said okay. Then she calls back and tells me she just got 2 new orders that it will take my order about 30-45 minutes for a mistake they made serving extremely hard bacon crumbles. I had to go all the way to the store just to get a refund. GESH was extremely rude not understanding the situation. She kept telling no one complained about it that’s how they make it all the time. If you are concerned with cleanliness, this is NOT the place for you. They do not have good hygienic practices.

I had called and ordered a pizza for pickup. When I arrived I saw a lady who's working inside at the cash register talking to another guy who's also an employee. she was counting cash with her hands and proceeded to hand it to the guy. Immediately after that she went to take my pizza from the oven, and without washing her hands (After handling dirty cash), started to touch the pizza with her hands and a spatula. I told her that she cannot be touching and handling cash and then go on to make food for her customers without washing her hands and i left. AND IT'S NOT THE FIRST! Another time I saw her handling the surfaces of the cash register and the card machine and the counter itself, Then went right on to stretching and making dough for someone else's pizza.
