Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Toronto

When this location first opened it was great, I would have given at least 4 if not a 5. Since then it's gone down hill. My one star is based on my last experienced, here is a recount of it.

I asked multiple times whether or not they had any tender promotions which the cashier responded "no" to all times and then proceeds to ramble off the regular menu. I went with the 8 piece 1 lg side 4 biscuit off their reg menu for 29.99. After ordering I had a chance to look around since they needed more time for the fries. I took a closer look at the promo on counter and in fine text the 9 piece deal also applies to chicken tenders (includes another side) for the same price of $30. So this already tells me that their employee was not aware of the ongoing deals even when sitting 3ft from them. At this point I started getting annoyed. The cashier asked her manager on duty which said it was no problem so no harm no foul... yet. 3 mins in, I noticed the cashier pack up my tenders and place them in a box, under the heat lamp. 10 mins after that, they finally get the fries out. they pack everything up and in which case she already forgot about my additional side. This prompted me to get them to check how many tenders they had in the box. Inside the box were the 9 smallest tenders I've ever gotten from any Popeyes location. By the time I got home (I live 3 blocks down) from the 2 min drive, the tenders were hard and cold. Each one of these issues are annoying alone, together it is an unacceptable level of service. I will be avoiding this location...

This location is pretty nice, always clean, the staff are welcoming, and the food tastes great!

As mentioned above, I had a good experience here the few times I visited HOWEVER AFTER TODAY, I will not be returning. I drove here after working downtown and arrived at 11:45 as their hours say they are open until 12am. When I got in I called for the attention of the staff to which the cook replied. He stated they were closed, when I asked when they closed, he looked at the clock and said 1145.. I was shocked as that was the current by time. Was it a coincidence? I think not. I asked if his manager was aware and he pointed to his manager an ear shot away and said yes, I asked if the district manager was aware of this he stated YES. He proceeded to tell me that if I placed an order on uber eats he would have to honor it, but taking your time to drive to this location before they closed meant you were out of luck. The cook had a rude tone, moving his neck as he spoke and proceeded to tell me if they didn’t leave at a certain time they couldn’t catch the bus and would have to take the blue light… I felt like I was in a time warp, this blatant disregard and disrespect for the customer was INSANE. The cook also mentioned the time here on google is inaccurate and that I should not follow it.. super helpful as I’m already IN the store. If this is the customer service this Popeyes has to offer, I’d rather go somewhere else. I’m still in shock writing this.

Came to get a Chicken Sandwich Platter with Fries & Mash, and they ran out of large drink caps for the cup. Meaning you were better off with medium, a little unfortunate as I always come for a Fruitopia & Sprite mix to cheat on my diet. A little bummed out, I noticed this and just decided to go with a combo instead giving up the mash.

The crew secretly added the mash potatoes in and I only found out once I was in the car. Little did I know, they just charged me for a regular combo and added the mash in there too. Small things like that change a persons day and turn a negative into a positive, great work...
