I highly recommend you try this small, family-owned shawarma spot in Etobicoke, you won’t be disappointed! The food is reasonably priced, fresh and worth the wait!
I ordered the grilled salmon (regular size) with half rice and half salad. The salmon was a generous portion, cooked to perfection (medium), and beautifully seasoned with a hint of garlic. At first glance, I thought the regular size looked small, but I was wrong, it was very filling. The owners are warm and welcoming, and the kitchen open and clean, which made the experience even better.
It didn’t end there! I also tried the chocolate brownie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. It was warm, rich in flavor, and comforting. Personally, I could have done without the chocolate syrup, but it was still delicious.
Because everything exceeded my expectations, I couldn’t resist ordering veggie samosas to go! I noticed there was no dipping sauce, so I poured a bit of their secret sauce that’s in a yellow bottle on the side!
Sorry I have no picture of the salmon meal, I was too...
Read moreWhy is this restaurant active on DoorDash and accepting DoorDash orders if they don't fulfill those orders? I sent in my order and it was stuck on "Order Placed" for ages. Then DoorDash customer service called me (I could barely hear what the agent was saying due to mumbling and a heavy accent) and said the restaurant was refusing to prepare the order due to "an issue with the order". So the agent asked if I wanted to cancel the order, and of course I said yes, and wanted to be refunded the full amount.
After ending the call, I checked my DoorDash account and saw that the agent had only given me a partial refund, so I had to go back and contact DoorDash customer service to obtain my full refund, since the botched order was cancelled through no fault of my own. Finally got my full refund, two hours later. What a headache.
If this restaurant doesn't fulfill orders on DoorDash, they should not be active on DoorDash and waste...
Read moreCame here on September 27, 2024 for late lunch. The previous business used to be a diner I think. I wanted something other than shawarma and I found it !! I got their Jamaican Jerk chicken and rice large size.
I really enjoy the spicy level and the rice. Rice doesn’t taste dry. They give quite generous portion of jerk chicken (boneless) which I like. I took 40% home for dinner.
If you like spicy jerk chicken, give them a try! I think it’s quite good especially for $14.99. Next time I am going to try wings and spicy samosa.
The Good: Big portion. Flavorful. Doesn’t taste old. It seems most items on the menu are less than $18. I told one of the staff that the chicken is spicier than I thought and he was going to give me more rice to dilute. Nice of him.
Suggestion: instead of garlic sauce for chicken, can you add more jerk sauce if someone wants more spicy...
