Unbelievably disappointed and would give 0 stars if I could…placed an order 2 weeks in advance for a cake for my niece’s birthday and confirmed a specific pick up time. On the day of the birthday, drove 50 minutes and reached 1.5 hours later than my pick up time only to find out that there was no cake ready for me to pick up and apparently they had forgotten to make it…

When I asked what happened, was told “they had too many orders for today” and whether I could wait till 6pm (the time their store closes) to pick the cake up (no!) Was extremely excited to have a cake made from them but will not give them any business again — fix the way you track orders or issues with your staffing that would lead to something like this. It is unprofessional and untrustworthy to do this to your customers. To you, it might just be an unfulfilled order but for someone on the other end it could be a lot of time and emotional investment gone to waste.

Rois cream is a local gem in the Junction, and a great place to go if you're looking for macarons in the west end. The macarons here are nicely decorated, and comes in a large selection of unique flavors that changes regularly, and are not overly sweet. They also serve cakes (customized ones available for order), scones (the honey garlic being my fave), cookies, and bagels. There's a good selection of drinks on their menu as well.

An added perk is that they frequently have cute seasonally themed cakes and macarons for sale and preorder for special occasions.

The brick walls, and wood furniture of the cafe gives it a warm feel, and the overall atmosphere is quiet and cozy.  The staff here are also friendly.

All these Square Cakes were incredibly pretty, the perfect amount of sweetness, silky smooth Cream, spongy & airy Cake! Strawberry was a Strawberry Shortcake in a Box, so light and refreshing!
