Roti & Pelau — Restaurant in Toronto

Food isn't bad, but nothing great. The reason I'm rating it 2 stars is the service. There is an old man who I assume owns it, and is never pleasant unless he decides he likes you. After going there numerous times over the years supporting his business, the last time I went he stood in front of me on his phone for almost a whole 2 minutes. When he finally looked up he did not apologize and just stared at me blankly and went back to his phone. As I caught his attention the second time and gave my order he just abruptly disappeared into the kitchen without saying a word to me. I went there to buy roti shell and told them i wanted it plain they still gave it to me with everything in it. I went home and checked then i realise it wasnt plain.i ordered 10. I called and spoke to the boss and all he could say was sorry and hang up the phone. No compensation or anything. He is very rude..obnoxious and have a i dont care attitude. I called back and a girl answered so i asked her why was her boss so rude and she was rude as well...i told her the only reason i came there in the first place is because mona's roti was closed. I went there today and ordered 2 beef Roti with 2 doubles as well. When we went to go pick up our food we wanted to verify if the shells were going to be paratha or daul puri. We were told we needed to say something in advance. When we were given the total over the phone we were told a totally different amount from the week prior. The service there is awful the food was warm not hot and the beef tasted truly bad. The first time we went there things were fine so we continued to go back.. I guess the third trip was the bullet for us because we will never be returning again. I don’t recommend this place for high end service, the food isn’t the best.
