I had been going here for many years but in the last few months there has been a real degradation in their food quality. Firstly, the primary reason I would go here is the Khaman Dhokla, however, when you order it, the owner goes to the back of the store to fill your order with days old Dhokla. I don't ever but anything from the left hand side counter since it looks old. After a couple of times of getting old food, I started asking if the Khaman Dhokla was fresh before ordering, he always says it is fresh, but it isn't. After getting a stomach bug from the Khaman Dhokla, I stopped going. Secondly, he also supplies his Dhokla to Iqbal Foods on Thorncliffe, but the same old Khaman Dhokla is supplied there. Thirdly, there are other Gujarati restaurants that have similar Khaman Dhokla that Sai Lila no longer holds a monopoly anymore, some better options are "Sabras the taste of Gujarat" on Lawrence, Govardhan Thal, Brars and Rasovara. Read moreI have had some bad experiences about khaman dhokla being not fresh, the quality is not consistent but i let go because it happens occasionally and i cannot drive back from oshawa to complain. I had ordered khaman dhokla this thursday which turned out to be stale and did not seem fresh. I went back in 2 hours when i got chance. First they were blaming me that it got bad in 2 hours because i dint keep in fridge, then they were giving me another set of dhokla to which i refused that i had bad experience already so give me regular khaman instead. If there is price difference i am willing to pay. The khaman was for same price, but they still wanted money from me. Neither i got food nor refund. The owners are very rude, the place is unhygienic, custermer service is even worst. You are not living in Gujarat, this is canada learn to adapt and learn how customer service...

Sai Lila is cash only store! Bring cash from home 😅.
Gujju Uncle is so kind and helpful, whenever I go with my kid he gives chocolate or some sweet to him. Also provided suggestions if there is something new in the kitchen.
Food quality is good, We like gathiya and specil Papya chin ( sambaro), Being rajkotian we need that as sider.
⚠️ check the product, occasionally they are giving less fresh food... I have visited almost 10 times, only one time I found poor quality. So just an advice to check the product before they put in the polythene beg.( A visual check is enough 🙂)
Store timing is bit odd so plan accordingly.
Not tables on sitting arrangements so takeaway only or park your car and eat. Also, Near by many Indian stores and food shop so try all to gether. (As a...
