Linsmore Tavern — Restaurant in Toronto

July 15, 2022 BACK IN BUSINESS!!! Saw my favorite band tonight (I Will Be King - A Tribute to the Genius of David Bowie)! I was elated! This was my 5th time! It must be "the power to charm" because I can't NOT come!

Still a 5 piece band, a new guitar/vocalist (Susie) has been added, and I must say, she fits in well. Elana and Susie compliment each other perfectly and the band seems to have a newer, fresher sound.

First time back at The Linsmore since October 5, 2019, my long wait and dry spell are finally over. Now just checking their calendar for the next time they're here!

June 1 2019 Once again went to see I Will Be King tonight (third time!). Really love this band - all Bowie! Elana up front on rhythm guitar sings from the heart, and the rest of the band, including the lone male on lead guitar, is virtually flawless on every tune. I recommend going to see them at least once!

The bar is an older style tavern with a friendly staff, good prices, and that quaint feeling...

Was packed as per usual. I haven't been in a while so I didn't know the two bartender gals working but they were friendly, quick and very efficient. They worked well together and treated the patrons with respect and kindness. Very professional. The door person for the practically hip concert was very patient dealing with the ticket holders such as myself. She was friendly and personable while remaining brief and professional. The venue was clean as can be expected from a very old and well known fixure that's been in the east york neighborhood for a dog's age. All in all a good experience for the time spent there. Side Note: I was there for my friend Matt's birthday and the concert was happening same night so I purchased 4 tickets. One foe myself one for my brother and one for another friend of mine. Also had an extra purchased ahead to give to anyone else that needed and didn't have a way in or wanted to attend after it was...

Just recently visited Linsmore to see a 90s tribute band. Had never been before but had great time! Given that the place was absolutely packed, the bartenders did an unbelievable job keeping everyone happy. I never waited more than a couple minutes to be served, or to get my drinks once ordered. They had a decent selection of beers and they always came cold. We didn't get food, so I can't comment on that. I have to say that this place is more than just a local watering hole. From what I hear, they have live music most nights. I would definitely go back...
