Good Vibes Kitchen — Restaurant in Toronto

Amazing food! It's pandemic time, so I'm ordering more delivery than I've had in the past. Discovered "Good Vibes Kitchen" via UberEats. Now I can say that Good Vibes are my fave Caribbean take out in the city.

Hands down, the best ox tail I've EVER tasted. And the jerk chicken was super juicy and fell off the bone. My only small quibble is that the rotis aren't as spicy as we like them. But that's easy to fix with a note to the restaurant to add a bit of hot sauce. I guess it's best they make them milder for the faint of heart, because you can always turn up the heat but you can't take it away.

One final point - I found the prices very reasonable. About 25-30% cheaper than The Real Jerk (and Good Vibes Kitchen is tastier too)

Tried Good Vibes Kitchen on the Danforth for takeout, and honestly, the only “vibe” I got was regret. For the price I paid, I expected proper portions and flavour. Instead? I got a sad little container with five pieces of oxtail floating in bland gravy that tasted like someone whispered spices near the pot but never actually used them.

I know good West Indian food – I grew up on it. I know what proper oxtail is supposed to taste like: rich, seasoned, falling off the bone, with depth. This was the opposite. No heat, no flavour, no soul.

If you’re going to charge premium prices, at least bring the flavour and a decent portion. Good Vibes? Maybe. Good food?...

I’ve been walking past this place for years! I’ve always wanted to go and I’m so mad at myself for not going sooner! They have amazing lunch specials!! Then menu is plentiful and how can you go wrong with FRESH coconut water?! The service was PHENOMENAL! The gentlemen working gave us free appetizer samples as we waited for our food to be made. It took about 20mins because they make it to order and we knew that going in. Everyone’s food looked and smelled delicious and it was! We were so full and had to decline dessert even though the rum cake was calling to me. Well, declining rum cake wasn’t allowed and we got to sample it for free!
